I received this PM last night:

I am looking to mount a chainsaw to my Morryde and wanted to see if you had anything drawn up for one. Looking at what currently exists I could probably modify the Rotopax hinge carrier but if an actual carrier exists I’d rather go that route.

Thanks in advance and also for keeping up on cool stuff for our Jeeps.

Rather than answer it in a PM I'll answer it here because this isn't the first time I've gotten this question.

The easiest way to do this is to use the MORryde Rotopax carrier and bolt a commercial chain saw carrier to it. Something like the SawHaul can be used:

The MORryde Rotopax carrier (these next images are on a JKU because the last time I got this question it was about the JKU but the Rotopax mount looks the same on the TJ):

great! Thanks for the response. For anyone else doing this the Sawhaul looks good but Hornet makes a nice one and so does Kolpin but theirs actually has a clamp to hold the saw down. I also have been working around my motorcycle front chainsaw carrier and may morph it onto the Rotopax carrier so I can simply swap it back and forth from the TJ to my dirt bike.

Mounted across the hood . . . . for that 'rugged look'.
This is a 'falling' saw. A bucking saw has a straight back like the one in a previous post.
ps. Worried about theft? You'd have to pay a thief to steal a Stihl . . . . just sayin' 🇨🇦 ;) 🪵

pss. Sweet dreams Mr. Blaine! :ROFLMAO:

Finally got around to finishing this project up. Pretty happy with it. The tool carrier uses a plate that matches the wheel bolt pattern and has a lock bolt in the receiver portion to hold it and also allow to remove for access to the spare. Some slight modifications to oval a couple of holes on the Morryde Rotopax mount and it bolted up with the Hornet chainsaw carrier.

@jscherb , some minor adjustments and one additional hole in the Rotopax mount and this would be a bolt on. PM me if you are interested in the details. Very tidy setup I think.
