Nikki's yellow throwback Jeep

The fact that Mopar has discontinued the camshaft position sensor for my jeep has me a little worried after having dealt with the struggles it and the crankshaft position sensor caused me. Mopar still has crankshaft position sensors out there that ship from dealerships and known overstock sites (not sure that means anything) but not knowing if there’s a camshaft position sensor brand out there that works has me searching because I don’t want to be caught away from home when a sensor goes bad again. So I ordered a WVE brand sensor from Rockauto. On Rockauto it was the only brand of sensor that had noted a verified temperature rating of -40 to 300 degrees. Temps were causing the issue with my new “faux-par” sensors. It also appears WVE is owned or associated in some way with NGK/NTK which makes the o2 sensors that like to play nice with our jeeps. It says made in China but I haven’t found one made anywhere else. I’ll continue to run my original Mopar one until it no longer functions but I’ll test out this sensor this weekend and report back.View attachment 256850View attachment 256851View attachment 256852View attachment 256853
Did you end up swapping the sensors and trying this one out?

Keep coming back to this picture. I'll be a happy camper if mine can look this good (only slightly shorter) once I'm done!!

Now I just need to find palm trees :ROFLMAO:
Hey thanks a lot man! Yours is looking pretty good! Who needs palm trees when you can take pictures that are shanty chic like yours!😉

Ahhhh shit. this picture will haunt me. I was so enthralled with my Jeep I was NOT looking at the background. or I'm just use to my ghetto :ROFLMAO:

Did Gold Mountain today with a solid group of jeepers, @Blazin_LJ among them. The group was moving pretty fast, there were a ton of different groups on the trail, and the obstacles are short and spread out so not a ton of footage and no pics. As my driving experience increases and as I see more rigs tackle obstacles, I’m continuously blown away by the performance of this rig. I fall in love with it over and over. Here’s for your enjoyment…

Good times on the mountain. Hope to wheel with you again soon! I don’t know how, but we randomly collected three cool jeepers and had a blast. We just formed a voltron and rolled out.
Your rig is really nice and it’s amazing how good your suspension works, and I’m jealous of the tummy tuck!

Well developed a nasty squeak this morning followed shortly by drive line vibrations. I pulled the rear drive shaft to find this…

Luckily I had my old drive shaft with me. It’s a bit too short but it should get me home from Big Bear to replace the bad u joint.

Ouch. Lucky you caught it and had the spare. I had a u-joint fail on my YJ while flat towing that turned into a strap failure - wasn't fun. Of course, it happened on a bridge so pulling over wasn't an option.

Yikes! Yeah, I wish I had remembered to send in the old drive shaft a long time ago to have it adjusted or I’d be in even better shape, but out of sight out of mind as the saying goes.
