That depends on the shocks. I described it three years ago in this thread. What length should the links be for 2.5” suspension lift?

Pretty sure it happened on a YouTube video I saw. Not a tj though. Maybe trailrecon or litebriteHas there been a report of this? I am honestly just curious about the damage done when it happened.
I’d almost expect it on the latter channel. I don’t recall it on any trail recon videos, but doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.Maybe trailrecon or litebrite

It was a locked Swayloc@NashvilleTJ had this happen to him if I remember correctly and it ended up bending the Anti-Rock arm.

Ouch Rick! That makes it sound like I installed it incorrectly…@NashvilleTJ had this happen to him if I remember correctly and it ended up bending the Anti-Rock arm.
If the arm is level at the mid point of the shock travel and the links aren't pulled tight at full shock extension, then not much else matters.Full droop: 13.5”
Fully compressed: 7.5”
AR link length: 10.5”
OEM link length: 7.5”
The suggestion to add 2.5” to OEM link length was a really good rough estimate.
AR arm horizontal at full droop, when operator side was checked. Thanks again to all of you for the prompt replies. View attachment 265327

But JJ is right - I made the mistake of flexing it out in the “street” position. Did not end well…
I saw this happen to two vehicles on the Rubicon trail last year... the first caught it quickly and resolved it, the second didn't catch it, ended up bending their links if I recall.Has there been a report of this? I am honestly just curious about the damage done when it happened.

Yes, that is at full droop. This is while resting on ground.is this what it looks like at full droop? I'm getting ready to install mine
???
Is that a picture of full droop?
How much down travel do you have?
@Jeep 541X does your Antirock arm hit the stock bumper? I just installed mine and it is very close to the top lip of the bumper. Thinking I'm going to have to grind off some of the bumper for clearance. This picture is sitting at ride height
