Full doors (and a crack shot)...

I get your comment there, Boogie. I generally only run the half door when I wheel. It makes a big difference when hanging out the side to see what your wheels are up to. But, the full doors are much more comfortable on the street.

OK... so full doors... + Crack Video!!! :D

your jeep stance is insane! do you have a build thread by chance? or would you be able to message me a build list? id like ot know more about your build seeing as this is how i want my LJ to sit exactly like yours!
Thanks for the kind words. In a nutshell, it's a Clayton 4" long arm kit with a 1" body lift. Dana 60 front, a full float 9" in the rear, both with ARB's and 5.13s and a 65" WMS width in back and 65.5" in front. Factory 6 speed manual and factory rubicon transfer case. Antirock swaybar in front, stock in rear. Genright aluminum front bumper and their rear bumper plate with anchor points. Genright aluminum fenders (4") front and rear, and genright sliders. Aftermarket fiberglass hood from Duraflex which is downright garbage in terms of fit and finish. Do not buy their shitty hood. Oh, and then 37's mounted on some raceline beadlocks. Feel free to ask if I missed anything.

Are those soft or hard uppers? I (more specifically the wife) wasn't that impressed with the soft (zipper) uppers on my TJ so when I get some for the LJ I'm getting sliders. Just haven't decided on soft or fiberglass.

They're hard uppers but I'm not sure of the brand. I don't know if they all work this way but you can slide them so the window is either open at the front or the back. There are times when you prefer one over the other.

I have soft ones too and and my wife isn't crazy about them. She's at least finally at the point where she knows to not open them "at speed".

They both (soft & hard) have their advantages. Here it is again with the soft uppers ...

Lovin' the half doors but a lot of the pics here don't ID the brand. I've looked at GenRight & JCR, probably others I can't remember. JCR are about $200 more than GR. Way better than tube doors I expect and no doors looks like trouble waiting to happen (I'm prone).

What's the favorite out there, both 'budget' range and the most expensive range? Pro/con of each if you will. I know I'll have to have them. For now all I have is LJ hardtop and door surrounds for when I go topless.

Edit: guess I should ask about favorite tube doors also. I'm not opposed to that route but having used neither..??

Mine above are OEM doors, which I believe are the most popular. Of course, they're the hardest to find since they haven't been produced since 2006. If you're lucky, you can find them in a color that matches your Jeep already.

Also checkout Savvy aluminum doors. Most of the aluminum doors out there are decent. Genright are nice too.

An important consideration is if the door will fit an OEM (or aftermarket) upper.

No uppers. I have surrounds but expect to run window-less otherwise.

Savvy has next to zero information other than out of stock. Only photo looks like a flat sheet of aluminum, no apparent latches or view of the inside. No surprise.

Thanks.
