Tow bar mounts on 2006 TJ

I wouldn't worry. It would take some serious gyrations for a small cable loop to slip off of those hooks. Even more serious gyrations for both to slip off. If you are that concerned, replace your current hooks with these:

Does anyone have suggestions for a small but efficient air compressor?

The same compressor used in the linked compressor/tank combo is also available without a tank which opens up many more mounting options. Look for Puma p/n DE07.

Does anyone have suggestions for a small but efficient air compressor?

Yorks are very fast. CO2 might be a bit faster, but would any difference in speed really matter anywhere except on a racing pit crew?

Does anyone have suggestions for a small but efficient air compressor?

My "small but efficient" air compressor installation can be found here: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/how-to-simple-onboard-air-for-your-tj-viair-400h.10235/ PS - I also own a Viair 400P portable compressor that I acquired several years before I purchased my LJ.

What brand of heater core should I go with?

The Performance Radiator heater core for the later year TJ's appears to be out of stock as on 17 September 2021, although a post in another thread states that the poster telephoned Performance Radiator who did have at least one available to ship. Every business is suffering from...

What brand of heater core should I go with?

I have a heater core from Performance Radiator in my '06 LJ. I chose it over the considerably more expensive Mopar unit based on the recommendation of my local radiator shop (one of the last old school radiator shops still in existence and favored by the hot rodders in my area.) When...

Where would you mount an air compressor?

If you wanted to reclaim that space your locker pumps would probably fit on the ABS tray.

Where would you mount an air compressor?

I mounted my compressor here: See this thread: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/how-to-simple-onboard-air-for-your-tj-viair-400h.10235/

    Underbody wash / detail

Use one of these. Its not high pressure so one must run the sprinkler long enough to soften the crud - long enough to drink a beer maybe two - then a regular hose with high pressure nozzle will do the rest.

    Auxiliary brakes for TOAD TJ?

State troopers too. Like it or not, and diesel pusher or not, it is the law in every Canadian province and in all but two states for a flat towed vehicle the weight of a TJ to have an auxiliary brake system.* I use an RVibrake3. This thread might be useful...

What springs for 4" lift on 5000 lb. LJ Rubicon?

The suspension was installed by the original owner of my LJR circa 2008. It has been awhile since I looked at the part numbers, but I think they are RE1353 front (205#/inch) and RE1360 rear (225#/inch), although there are some handwritten notes on the install instructions that came in a box of...

What springs for 4" lift on 5000 lb. LJ Rubicon?

^^ This. I know Rubicon Express is the brand everyone loves to hate, but RE springs on a relatively heavy LJR really are the ticket. The published curb weight of a LJ Rubicon with factory hardtop is 4,012#. This LJR, as modified and with 35" tires, is 4,880# empty (2180/2700) and...

    Ideal Antenna Length (In Theory)

Simple answer: In addition to being relatively short, a 1/2 wave antenna typically does not require a ground plane, which is the primary reason 1/2 wave antennas are so popular in jeep mobile installations, A 5/8 wave antenna provides additional gain at relatively low angles without a huge...

What's the Favorite Mid-Level GMRS Radio?

Midland GMRS radios are very user friendly, more so than the Baofengs and Wouxons. They are designed and marketed as the "no brains or skill required" successor to CB and are intentionally simple to use. The Midland MXT115 and MXT275 units are quite small. [I have a Midland MXT400 in my...
