Is it possible to have a true dual purpose Jeep?

I have a 2002 with 4.0 and 5 speed manual. 35” KO2’s & 4.5” suspension lift. I went with 4.88’s. It’s serving me well on the road and trail (conquered the Rubicon no problem). Expect to be downshifting to 4th when climbing in the mountains, but I don’t see an issue. Gearing isn’t ideal...

    Power Steering loss

I took a look at the fluid and while its at the proper fill level its murky. Looks like muddy water, does this indicate anything other than old fluid?

    Power Steering loss

Ran the Rubicon Trail for the first time over the past two days. Intermittently I would lose power steering. At first I thought maybe my front locker was failing to disengage, but it became clear that it was the steering. I had no leaks in the lines, and the fluid level remained constant...

4WD shift linkage doesn't go into 4-low easily

I actually had the SYE installed not too long before. It was working fine the first time I had taken it out, so figured that couldn't be the problem. After exhausting all other possibilities I took it back to the shop that did the work. They had to pull the case back apart and said some piece...

4WD shift linkage doesn't go into 4-low easily

I've read that things like mismatched tire sizes can cause binding that makes disengaging 4wd difficult. I'm thinking that moving the case may have slightly changed the angle of the driveshaft and caused this. I can't imagine it started for no reason, and it was literally directly after doing...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Added the Teraflex hand throttle. Instead of drilling and adding a bracket, I used the space designed for the cruise control. So far seems to work just fine...

4WD shift linkage doesn't go into 4-low easily

Well... I got the Savvy. Unfortunately it was missing a piece which held me up a couple days until Savvy was able to get me the part. Now that its all installed it is a smoother shift, but unfortunately it still seems to bind and not want to drop back into 2wd. The shifter IS bringing the...
