    LJR long term "rebuild"

Got some bad news on the white LJ we swapped all my parts onto. Was making some gear noise while coasting, figured it might have a lash issue or a bearing that needed replaced in the carrier. Nope, the housing is bent about 1/2" on the drivers side tube. Good news, local hydraulic machine shop...

    Is my full door bent?

I bent my full door and frame due to trail damage. With the window rolled down I was able to pull the frame back into shape with my hands just like stated above. Just bend it a little at a time and recheck the fit.

Motobilt Sale! Snatched up a TJ/LJ stretch tank and a Genright LJ fuel tank relocation bracket! Going to push it back all the way, need the wheelbase. Probably going to EVAP delete and HP tune out the P codes for emissions and downstream O2's. No smog checks here. Can't wait to get back from...

    LJR long term "rebuild"

Yeah it was pretty clean already, probably should have washes it but too late now. Most of the dirt was under the armor. That’s my buddies 40” trailer with a pop up on the front. Hauls the YJ’s.

Lots of progress on the white LJ swapping in all my parts. All his stock Rubicon parts are posted for sale on FB if anyone is interested. Got all my armor, sliders, removed and ready to install on the white Jeep next weekend. After that we get serious on my LJ.

This thing is sick! Big investment, hope it serves you well.

    LJR long term "rebuild"

Got delayed due to me blowing up the rear end last weekend. Broke a shaft and it shattered. Slapping in my spare shafts and smoked a bearing. Ten Factory sent me a new kit asap but both shafts are short side. Waiting on them to ship the correct shaft now. Fun stuff.

Finally started. Transplanting all the take off parts onto another LJ. Kind of two build in one.

That's the reason I bought an LJ I wasn't afraid to beat on. Lots of LS YJ's out there you can buy for less than it costs to build.

I've seen him wheel. Dude has no quit in him. Even when you tell him he should. :p Glad you guys had a good time! Has some big tire buddies head there early this year. Said it was awesome, but tough.

This Jeep means 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 to me?

He’ll probably have a tug of war with it and his monster truck if they ever figure out how to make two Allison’s shift off the same tcu. I’d like to drive his Charger around a bit. That thing is wicked.

This Jeep means 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 to me?

I forget he has limitless funds to pay others to fix his toys. It’s fun to watch, but I cringe sometimes too. Thank god they won’t let him have an even close to functional cannon. He’d shoot a Hilux and a house with it day one.

Headed to SMORR for the Halloween run. Last run for us before we rip the Jeep apart and start rebuilding.

This Jeep means 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 to me?

He tossed a track on the first drive. It’s pretty old and complex. I’m sure it’ll live a short painful life in the US if it makes it over.

    EV thread

EV specific tires basically means low noise. Without the traditional engine there is no ambient noise so all you hear is the tire noise while driving. Several major manufacturers are producing EV tires with noise canceling features, most of them are using a noise absorbing foam lining that makes...

    Samurai pros and cons

Very little power (>90hp IIRC), short wheel base, very little crash protection. (*Edit 60hp in the 1.3L in 1986) They don't weight much and make fun trail rigs. I wouldn't want to daily one.

Milwaukee M12 stubby impact with 2 batteries for $149

My DeWalt was fine until I ran about 150 6” lags through a deck into a sill on a house I was selling. I should have gave it a rest, it was too hot to touch when I was done. I know the 3/8 is good but I want the 1/2 so I can break off those stubborn bolts.
