Paint hard top vs soft top

There's nothing that says that you can't have both. If you get a frameless soft top, you don't have to add much hardware to make it work in good weather. Remove it and put the hardtop back on when the weather dictates.

    Door wire loom ideas?

I think that you're overthinking it. Regular wire loom would work well, just figure what kind of connectors you want to use. Something like this, maybe: https://www.ebay.com/itm/402755620874?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&customid=link&campid=5337789113&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

    Anyone tried modding a shock?

Most of the time those that are saying it can't be done are blocking your view of the guy that's doing it.

They might be fine rifles, but with only 200,000 made, ceasing production in about 1960, good luck finding one. OR parts for one. The Ruger has been made since 1964, and is still in production, with over 7,000,000 made, and as previously mentioned supported by a vast aftermarket of parts and...

    Jeep "Bug Out" Bag

The AR-7 is a good little gun. A Ruger 10-22 Breakdown might be better, though. Not much bigger when broken down, and a couple 25 rd. mags instead of the 7 rounders and a box of ammo.

    Nuts for headlight assembly

Hopefully you have a decent Ace Hardware nearby. If you go that route, get 8 nuts. That way, if/ when you lose or damage one, (it ALWAYS happens to me if I only get what I need. If I get more, things go perfectly and I have leftover hardware), you can still finish the project.

Not to be a jackass, but what are you guys going to do if your phone craps out and you don't have a paper map?

Map and compass isn't that hard PROVIDED you have a good map. And for trail riding you want a topographical map. I know that Colorado is mountainous, and a good topo map will let you use those mountain to locate yourself, and thus find your way out.

I would still have a firearm in the kit, but then again, I always have one on me. My underseat lockbox has one too, so I'll always have two at my immediate disposal. I might also add the light that I mentioned before, as well as some emergency rations of some sort, maybe protein bars. A...

As far as flashlights are concerned, you can get a rechargeable light that plugs into a USB port. I actually ran wiring from my Power Port to inside my glove compartment and keep one plugged in there.

.357 Magnum revolver and at least a couple hundred rounds of ammo. Or your favorite semi auto pistol with as many magazines as you have. Make your kit portable so that you can just carry it from one vehicle to another. You could even carry it when you're riding with somebody else.

    Jeep death wobble

95% of the time, DW is because of tire imbalance. Maybe you lost a wheel weight. Or picked up a bunch of mud in a wheel. Have your tires balanced, and see what that does. The Steering Stabilizer is like a shock absorber. A bad shock absorber won't cause wheel hop, but if it starts, it won't...
