Can't find the correct blower motor switch for my 97 TJ?

Standard S1044. I didn't buy from O'Reilly but this seems like the same part https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/standard-ignition/air-conditioning---heating/blower-motor-resistor-connector/26f3c127721f/standard-ignition-5-terminal-multi-purpose-connector/std0/s1044

Can't find the correct blower motor switch for my 97 TJ?

Finally had it installed last week. The part was correct and works but unfortunately I still have only two speeds. There could be another short on the plug that is under the passenger side dash. Since it is speeds 2 and 3 that work I am pretty comfortable and haven't checked yet.

Can't find the correct blower motor switch for my 97 TJ?

That will probably fix it. I was short on time so left it as is for now and I will get back at it soon. I still need to find an electrician that will fix the melted harness that has been difficult to find.

Can't find the correct blower motor switch for my 97 TJ?

The part came in and it's definitely the same one that had melted and is 4 speeds. It fits flush with the dash and switch. The weird thing is when I line it up on the correct screws the switch is aligned way off.

Can't find the correct blower motor switch for my 97 TJ?

Will do. As for my melted wiring harness plug, my electrical engineer friend said you don't need to find the exact part and it's possible to just rebuild the connections or scrape off the burnt parts so it creates a connection again. I think worst case it's a cheap job for an electrical...

Standard Motor Products HS267... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000C7Y6BA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I installed this today and it fit my plug and works. But the bolt didn’t line up on the correct side so the speeds are backwards. I have problems with the harness as well so I’m missing speeds still...

    Blower Motor Switch melted

Hi did you ever find the part? Mine melted too, along with the a/c blower switch that connects to it. I need to find both parts to replace. If you were able to get a hold of them and have a link that would be very helpful. Thanks.

Pulled Rug Surprise - Broken Fuel Tank Access Panel

So I finally got around to pulling my dirty rotten carpet in order to switch to bed tred and low and behold a previous owner decided to cut a fuel tank access panel in the cargo area. What is even better is I had no idea it was a cut through the floor pan sealed with epoxy and while cleaning...

Yet another TJ randomly stalling thread

Hey everyone, for the second time my 97 TJ is suffering from the dreaded ghost stalls that come and go at random times. I've read a lot of threads already on the topic and it seems like I have the variety that is based on an electrical problem or a bad sensor but before I start doing work I...

Stalling and Sputtering while Creeping Forward

Yes I did get it fixed! It could have been one or two things or a combo of both. Took it to a transmission specialist and when we drove it around he said transmission was not the problem but it was switching too early. I told him I tried adjusting the throttle cable so he went back and did...

How much transmission fluid to get back to max?

He didn't try any up selling. A rare honest mechanic who has worked on my family's cars for 15-20 years by now. Unfortunately I just checked and the leak is still there so might by the seal after all.

How much transmission fluid to get back to max?

Went all over my parking lot's floor lol. Took it to my mechanic yesterday thinking the rear seal needed to be replaced but he said the pan was loose and tightened it up for free. I'll go check in a bit and see if there are any new puddles this morning.
