A deep dive into a better ride

First of all thank you for your thoughtful response. I am willing to put plenty of time into this. In fact I've been reading this forum far before I bought my Jeep maybe 3 years ago. The only time concern is that it's my daily driver. I can't really be without it for max 2 weeks. As far as...

A deep dive into a better ride

Ok, my understanding is I purchase the 4" rockjock coils. Remove my driveshafts, jump around to settle the coils. Remeasure the driveshaft lengths. Get them resized. Order new shocks based on the ideally new 4" lift height. (Likely ranchos again). Then adjust rear track bar to meet new height...

A deep dive into a better ride

I think you're right on a lot of this. I believe if I lower the Jeep I'll probably go with an all terrain, maybe even a smaller sized at. I could go to factory wheels at the same time to add more sidewall.

While I have heard the correct way to measure is by cycling the axles ECT. I did just end up measuring my coils to about 5.25-5.5" of lift and buying the 4-6" lift shocks. Rancho rs5000.

RE adjustable rear track bar with an RE track bar mount to level it out a bit. I do have an Adam's driveshaft in the front and Tom woods in the rear. (Rear I changed, front came with jeep.)

Haha yeah I'll be honest I wasn't aware of the importance of C rating at the time. Next set will definitely be C rated...

A deep dive into a better ride

I think you're definitely right on this, I've researched this so many times because I have wayy too much lift for my 33.5" tires.

I'd love to do this. In fact I've called rockjock before. I suppose I'll have to get my driveshafts resized and possibly change my rear track bar though. Yes I measure about 5.5". As well as new shocks. Gonna be about $900 but I'm willing to do that for a better ride as I plan on taking this...

A deep dive into a better ride

Where can I get this done? unfortunately I don't, I've tried to find it. Although when I measured my coils it came out to around 5" of actual lift. A little bit of rake in the front but not too much.

Yes they are E rated Mats which I understand is overkill.

It's mainly the rear end of the jeep. It has literally caught air slowly going over a speed bump. It's stiff as a board. I assume this is due to not having a lot of weight on the rear.

A deep dive into a better ride

A picture of my dad in my TJ^ Anyways, I've owned my TJ for about four years now. I've been very meticulous with it and one thing I could never get right is the ride. I am currently running around a 4" short arm RE lift with the rancho 5000X shocks. This lift came with the TJ. I have the...

New soft top for hard top? In San Diego Area

I'm looking to purchase a hard top for my 04 TJ. I have a nearly new bestop top with original hardware all working great. Hoping to find someone in a 200 mile radius that is looking to make the switch from a hard top to a soft top. I'm more than willing to pay on top, haha get it... Anyways...

    Tight tuck tire carrier?

Yes I believe I will need the spacer, which is unfortunate because i don't think the studs will be long enough which means the whole being able to mount a jk wheel is useless. I'll have to mount the studs on the Carrier for a TJ wheel and use an adapter. (The tire is hitting the carrier, so I...

    Tight tuck tire carrier?

So I ended up purchasing this carrier based on all the comments on this post. Although when I went to put the tire on top to mount the studs I noticed it hits the sidewall. Am I missing something? The post said people were mounting 13"wide tires and mine is only 11.5".

    Tight tuck tire carrier?

This is great! Even has the lugs for 5x5 precut! I run a 33.4" tire so I assume it should work.

    Tight tuck tire carrier?

Which carrier do you run and would you mind sending a picture of the side view?

    Tight tuck tire carrier?

My question is are there any tight to the body carriers out there? I can't seem to find one... I recently sold my sh**ybuilt tire carrier to switch over to a moyride tailgate hinge setup. Although I run jeep jk hardrock rims on my TJ. Which means I need an adapter on the Carrier to mount...

    Ideas for lower coils?

They're Rubicon Express Coils, but my Jeep currently sits level due to the difference in coil height. If I go 4" in the front and 3" in the back, would I be buying different length shocks? My current ranchos are for 4-6" lift. So seems like I could keep the front but not the back?

    Ideas for lower coils?

Hey guys, I'm super excited to be part of the forum. Here's my first post introducing my 04 TJ and presenting a question. I want to go to a lower ride height. My coils currently measure out to 5" higher than stock in the front and around 4-4.25 rear. I'd like to go to around 3.5 for my 33s. I...
