    Well I just recently purchased this jeep. I didn't know the gear oil was that low. Been doing other work to it and just got around to that. I will probably just drop housing and do R&P and bearing and sleeve. Thanks for the advise from all.

    Well I guess I can look at thar when I remove cover off back of third member. I just know it was real low on gear oil when I checked it and it had real fine metal in oil . So you think if gears look good just run them.

    Well don't have time to fix before I leave. I guess I will disconnect drive shaft and strap it up and hope for the best. At least it won't tear up transfer case. Guess I should have checked out everything sooner,just to much to do with camper and all. Thanks for your input.

    Oh one other thing I wanted to ask. Tire pressure 31x10.5x15 Patagonia. Have about 38 in them right now. It pulled fine but I didn't go far . Said 50 lbs on tire cold, but I think that's to much.

    This is the spacer Smitty sent with tow bar. I think it's to small. I found some in my metal scrap that fit the hole perfect. I feel alot better now about using the d ring holes.

    Here is a video of slack in hole where bushing goes. Smitty says there should be some slack,but I think it's to much.

    Thanks for all the information.I do have new tires and rims on jeep. Tires on motorhome not that old lots of tread. I do have Good Sam's. Had to be towed in once.$1160.00. I'm glad I purchased it. Wheel bearing went out.

    Oh ok. I'm hooked up thru where the D rings go. I have the same brackets like you pictured,didn't put them on going to take them with me. Smitty said it is tow rated so I can pull from D rings that's where the bushings are. We will see. Thank you for all the info.
