For all of us with two wheels also

I did quite a bit of that ride from Susanville to Klamath a few years ago and it's probably one of the most scenic rides I've ever done A+++

Factory style control arm / bushing recommendations?

I would suggest trying your hardware removal now just to see what's coming apart. If you are in the rust belt it can be a nightmare to remove.

    Bigger oil filter

Do you remember oil changes on the TR6 with the reusable canister, totally impossible without covering everything in oil.

    Northern Exposure now on Amazon

Gotta get over there on a ride one of these days, been meaning to. I guess the "apostrophe S" on Roslyn was just a TV thing.

    Northern Exposure now on Amazon

Love it, one of my all time favorites. Always wondered why it took so long to air again.

Any thoughts on this oil leak?

With oil just about everywhere I would start top down at the valve cover. Easy to check for any loose bolts.

    Distributor rebuild, anyone?

I get it, I'm highly susceptible to that mode of thought and generally successful. If not I learned something. Did a set of oem tailgate hinges last year for $20 and they're gonna last the life of the Jeep.

Well the last Dizzy he did for me was a 76 TR6. Oh well... We installed a NAPA in my sons Cherokee and never had issues.

    2001 2.5 engine knock / noise

Did two 2.5's chains and they were both singing their songs, Look at me I'm a diesel. Not really a big deal to replace and the Smelling chains are very reasonably priced. If doing it yourself I have a few tips if needed.

    4WD light not working

Part Time only since our Jeep's running gear is not designed for Full Time like the Grand Cherokees and other similar vehicles. Try running your Jeep in 4WD on dry pavement and it will become self explanatory.

    Distributor rebuild, anyone?

I've used these guys numerous times back when I was wrenching on classic British sports cars having them add electronics at the same time. They are still doing it with a quick turnaround, and the level of quality was excellent. https://www.advanceddistributors.com/

Torque converter with a manual transmission?

BMW tried the auto/manual on their 6 speed manual, pretty sure it went over like a lead balloon.

    4WD light not working

Simple test is to remove the connector and jumper the 2 terminals on the vehicle side. If the light is illuminate it's the TC switch. My indicator only worked on the third replacement switch. FYI only part time will light up when working properly the Full time is there because the instrument...

    Early TJ Tailgate Hinge Rescue

On this Jeep we were blessed by having each bolt came free without effort but the last Jeep was a nightmare, Had to use the impact driver on several, then drilled out 2 nasty ones and welded a nut to the remaining stem. Seems like there are numerous different experiences with the process...

    2001 2.5 engine knock / noise

    Yep, what Tony Arms suggested.

    2001 2.5 engine knock / noise

I had timing chain issues on two 2.5's so that is a possibility and they both sounded like a diesel. Pick up a mechanics stethoscope and listen around. Did you re-torque the manifold since replacing because they will loosen.

Question of the day: mystery moisture

Fuel pump will not prime but engine runs

If you know anyone with a small motorcycle jack they are great tool for dropping our tanks.

Question of the day: mystery moisture

Just went thru this with my son's 99. We probably spent an hour with the garden hose in the driveway him in the Jeep and me spraying

Fuel pump will not prime but engine runs

You really can only hear it prime if you listen closely near the rear driver side tire.
