HPTuner MPVI2 & VCM Suite Review: 100% Full PCM Access For 2005-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJs

There's a great writeup for 2004 successfully using the AEM Infinity 358 https://www.aemelectronics.com/products/programmable-engine-management-systems/infinity-ecu/infinity-series-3 The best so far!! https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/turbo-4-liter.49996/

    Turbo 4 Liter

Solved! Fixed the crankcase pressure issue, and my idle after boost issue. I'll be opening a HPT trouble ticket. Looks like HPT did a firmware/software update. This would be fine if I was finished tuning the PCM, but I am not. So what I found out is the newest update REMOVED parameter...

HPTuner MPVI2 & VCM Suite Review: 100% Full PCM Access For 2005-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJs

Since you have a 2002, it would be using the JTEC version of HPT... Different stuff to know than with 05-06. Read the posts from Jezza.. he has some really awesome info and a very cool stable setup... https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/turbo-4-liter.49996/

HPTuner MPVI2 & VCM Suite Review: 100% Full PCM Access For 2005-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJs

Hard to find. I paid for a remote tuner because I couldn't find a tuner with a dyno that would touch it. Even that tuner had basic knowledge could only do so much. I have a turbo setup that works pretty good. I always enjoy the ride... but it's a hack because of the limitation with the 05-06...

HPTuner MPVI2 & VCM Suite Review: 100% Full PCM Access For 2005-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJs

Yes, but you HAVE to make sure you get the injector data, offset and flow rates... if not, you can spend a ton of time messing with a wrong tune, right from the start. I finally have mine dialed in... I took the long method.

    Turbo 4 Liter

So, lots has been going on with my jeep lately (as mentioned above) and something new has come out of it. All has been pointing to the MAP/BARO sensor. Google has lots about Dodge and baro relearn, in most forums. Interesting enough, that I've never had this issue before now. My baro will...

Awesome, thanks I'll look into that more.... I don't have a JTEC PCM in the 2005.

It's crazy at times, and I might have to switch methods. What infinity model did you get? I left a massive writeup in the HPT forum, so I will see... just seems like a small something is causing this. It would surprise me to see that it's the brand of MAP sensor or something like that.

Awesome, thanks. I might put that stock valve cover elbow (ccv) piece back. For now I have a hotrod contained breather to a PCV into the manifold. Working so far, but im still at a loss as to why I'm still having everything lean out, post boost. The WB will read .93 pre boost, then 1.01-1.06...

Just to follow-up, disabling baro learning stalls the engine when needing to go over 100kpa.... That was neat to find out while out for a drive.

    Turbo 4 Liter

There is the option to disable baro learning, and a table that can be adjusted for throttle voltage delta max learning... I did lower the voltage numbers, but I wont know the effects until I turn the 02 sensors back on (CL vs OL at the moment).

This is a screen shot of the software from HPTunners. This is used to record a drive/run. The red line is the whole drive. I am trying to show that the graph (chart) has the recorded numbers for the Baro side of the MAP (in this case), with RPM and MAP manifold pressure. As I mentioned, the MAP...

    Turbo 4 Liter

It's in the stock place.... I just upgraded to the SRT 2bar. To be clear, the kpa will move up and down with pressure as per norm, but the barometric side of the sensor will stick with the highest kpa I went up to. In the attached pic, you can see 102 is norm all below 1.00 (100kpa), but when...

I am having a new issue now though.. and after intense diagnostics, It's looking to be a crankcase pressure issue. Since this Jeep doesn't use a PVC system, did you install one? Part number? I left my valve cover open to atmosphere, vs back into the manifold..... this needs to change because I...

Awesome. I haven't put mine on a dyno yet, so it's nice to see that my spark table wasn't to different from yours... I inputted this table into my PCM and I have another big smile on my face.... love the jeep even more now

Wow, love it. I really like your location for the turbo. I think I will relocate mine.. 🤔 1. What IAT sensor did you install? Looks like you put it directly into the manifold. Yes? 2. Do you have a wastegate? If so, I would like to see a pic. I am interested in this infinity you speak of. I...

    02 Turbo TJ Rubican't

I guess the difference in jeep years might play a part. My stock setup had 2 exhaust manifolds with 1 sensor in each pre a pair of cats.... and 2 post cats. Since I upgraded to a single high flow exhaust manifold, theres no cats... deep in the PCM theres 2 VE tables....one for each half (bank)...

    02 Turbo TJ Rubican't

I can still move sensors around because I have plugs inserted in the bungs. At the moment I'm tuning with a tuners, and both o2 sensors are off to force open loop. So I have the WB close to the engine. I also had an issue with the second bank o2 contradicting the first, so im not sure if the...
