The Official Jeep Wrangler TJ Oxygen (O2) Sensor Thread

Hey guys, I just got the P0138 code. O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2) I'm not having any luck finding the NGK / NTK replacements. Does anyone still have a good source for these? Edit. Found the right post on here and looks like the Denso 234-4078 is the correct match for the...

    97 4.0 won't idle

Thanks everyone for the help. Problem solved ! I cleaned the throttle body and sprayed a little in the IAC intake before I tried to start it. That was enough to do the trick, it started right up no problem. I spent some time and used about half a can of cleaner with it running making sure...

    97 4.0 won't idle

Hey guys, I did a search but did find this problem posted. I parked the my 97 6 cyl in the garage for the winter. Went out last week and charged the battery. Tried to start and it would almost run but wouldn't start. It will start if I give it gas while I'm cranking it. It will only stay...

Need some help figuring out what parts need to be replaced

I apologize in advance.. I should have pulled over to double check everything but it was a short trip and I was almost home when it got worse. I thought I started having transmission issues on a short 30 minute drive, but it turns out the lug nuts on one of the wheels loosened and was causing...

    Replacement fog light suggestions

I did a search and didn't really see anything on this. My apologies if there's another thread already. Please point me in the right direction. I'm looking for good LED fog & general purpose bumper lights that are compatible with the original wiring harness. I just removed the original 97 fog...

Parking brake adjustment: Which way to turn adjuster at wheel?

Don't adjust the cables. Pull the tires, drums and inspect the pads. Make sure they are ok and figure out what the grinding noise is. Spring(s) etc may have come loose and are lodged between the pad and drum. You'll see the adjustment sproket at the bottom and the slot to adjust it from axle...

    Is this normal operating temperature?

just picked up a new cap. Will see if it makes a difference & check for leaks. Thanks guys.

    Is this normal operating temperature?

Looks like the cap may be the issue. It shouldn't be boiling at 221 degrees unless it's below the 18 psi the cap should be maintaining.

    Is this normal operating temperature?

Is the radiator cap one of those must have an OEM replacment items, or will any one listed as correct for the vehicle work ok?

    Is this normal operating temperature?

I had an overheating issue and determined the fan clutch was bad so I replaced it. Problem is definitely better however I still think I may have an issue. Any advice is appreciated. Purchased a bluetooth OBD reader so I can get real time temps through Torque app. All data below is from a 20...

    Bedliner vs Repaint Resale Value

I agree it's definitely not a first choice that you should just slap on there. Hopefully when I get the rest of the decals on it will balance out some. The leftover green moss pearl does not look good with it right now. I'm adding the decal package to break it up along with the silver...

    Bedliner vs Repaint Resale Value

I also think the wrap is a good option. I think it can also be removed later. So here's what the good UV resistant bed liner coating looks like. This has been on there probably 3 years now. I'm slowly removing the "college student" from it. Angry eyes are gone and the flag and stripe...

New to me TJ, got questions

For the vibration and drive issues check and see if you have either a transfer case drop or an SYE. If you have neither with a 3" lift - that's the first place to start fixing the drive issues.

    Bedliner vs Repaint Resale Value

The PO of mine (my daughter) had the same problem with the hood and minor issues in other areas. Decided to do the bed liner due to cost of professional painting and she only paid $4,500 for it to start with. So we thought it wasn't worth that much. Knowing what I know now I think she got a...
