Step for GenRight Mini Boat Side Riockers?

That’s a neat video, and may have saved some cash. But the result doesn’t appear to be different than the stirrup I (unfortunately) purchased. The issue is that the stirrup is not fixed. No matter where you put it (on the GenRight sliders, with the tube), it will push under the tube. Plus as...

Step for GenRight Mini Boat Side Riockers?

That would be perfect. The factory steps left empty nutserts in the frame. I left the original bolts in them so I could find them if needed.

Step for GenRight Mini Boat Side Riockers?

I have GenRight mini boat side rockers on my LJ. Has anyone come up with a way to add a removable lower step for when the Jeep isn’t offroad? I’m 6’1”, and the Jeep is on 35s with 5.25” of lift. That first step is (as Ned Ryerson said) a doozy. Offroad, when the ground isn’t level (which is...

    Scratching sound coming from clutch

Thank you everyone. I was offroad and off-the-grid when most responses came in, but I caught a glimpse when I got some service, and I felt much better about the trip. I’ll post what the result is. No time to take on this project myself. Work is like that. But I really appreciate everyone’s advice.

    TJ seat foam

I’m not sure if, I’m more than three decades of driving, I’ve ever seen one of those.

    Scratching sound coming from clutch

I have started hearing a sound when the clutch is fully engaged (pedal not depressed). It only starts just as the pedal comes all the way up. It sounds like a piece of metal touching something that is spinning. I can hear it whether or not I am pressing the gas. At cruising speed (40 mph), I...

Tuffy rear security drawer (the short one) in an LJ?

This project is starting to come together.

    TJ seat foam

Exactly right. I’m about 6’1”, and headroom isn’t a problem. But the armrest gets too low, the shifter gets too low; the steering wheel hits your knees (unless you tilt it way up). Plus you can no longer see traffic lights without acting like Ray Liota in Goodfellas searching for helicopters.

    TJ seat foam

I’m just under 6’1”, and with the new foam I needed to remove the 0.5” risers I had installed.

    TJ seat foam

Thank you so much for posting this. I ordered them right away, but they only went into the Jeep yesterday. What a difference! I’m riding an inch or two taller. I also got new seat covers, so everything is a million times better. But these new seat cushions are the start. Was the seat this...

Tuffy rear security drawer (the short one) in an LJ?

No sanding or attachment hardware yet, but so far everything fits.

Tuffy rear security drawer (the short one) in an LJ?

I got mine from Office Depot for under $100 each. I haven’t dealt with the extra-large handles yet. for now they’re fine, because the drawers don’t go all the way back to the seat anyway, so the setback is not a big deal. But paracord sounds like a great idea, thank you.

Water rolls off the lifted hard top glass into the Jeep

This worked. I can now use the lift glass as a small shelter in the rain if I need to do something in the rear of the Jeep (e.g., find my rain jacket). More important, when I open the tailgate glass after it rains, water doesn’t flow into the Jeep. It’s kind of a bummer if you need to fill...

Tuffy rear security drawer (the short one) in an LJ?

They are drawers for rack-mount IT equipment. Servers are 17” wide (without the attachment ears), and the back of my LJ is between 34.50” and 34.75” wide between the wheel wells. I’m still working on holding them down with straps but without flexing the sides, which will prevent the drawers...

This is looking promising. I’m just trying to deal with some tight tolerances.

Should the multifunction switch harness look like this?

These both look right. https://www.extremeterrain.com/crown-automotive-multifunction-switch-harness-repair-kit-9706-tj.html https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-645-206-Pigtail-Connector-Function/dp/B06XPPQZ6Y?tag=wranglerorg-20

Should the multifunction switch harness look like this?

I’ve done many radios, but 20 butt connectors seems bulky and not ideal. The idea below sounds great, but my connector doesn’t seem quite as brittle, so breaking it apart might be too destructive. Maybe I’ll order the conductor and see how it looks. Thanks!
