I don't have the stock cross-member, I installed a smaller dia cross member when I rotated the box.

Possibly and possibly. I think it may be easier to relocate the radiator, but your idea may be a possibility. I could definitely get it to work if I removed the cross member all together and installed a channel across the front, but then I would have to come up with a sway bar. Would require...

I just talked to a friend who has JK axles and rotated steering box with axle pushed fwd and he just laughed and said he installed a different Radiator and located it up which allowed for the drag link to be installed on the upper side of the pitman arm. He then laughed again and said that he...

Ha, rotating the box flat is what is causing the issue but is also gaining the clearance to allow for my whole axle to be shifted forward. There is no room to rotate the box any further up on the aft end (which is what will gain me the clearance). I don't think rotating the front of the box...

I don't think the twisted pitman arm will work since I don't need the "twist". At ride height my drag link is basically parallel to the arm and I think the twist would just cause issues. Here is picture with the drag link on lower side of pitman arm and it is parallel. When I modify pitman...

Compared to a flat pitmam arm, where does that GR twisted arm locate the actual joint? In the vertical direction (up/down) is it more in the middle, on the upper, or lower side of the flat arm. I need the joint to be right in the middle.

I already tried the offsets. I actually have to use the offset on the tie rod ends in order to clear the diff cover and on the drag link knuckle end to clear some stuff. It doesn't help on the pitman arm end, believe me I tried. I tried all different configurations of straight and offset...

Well I tried to redo my steering and upgrade to bigger brakes via the WJ knuckles and it did not go as planned. I welded on the unit bearing spacers and retapered the tie rod holes to install GM 1 ton TRE from the top at all locations. EZ PZ. I got sport track rotors and ground a little off...

No wild trail pics when your guiding Jeep Jamboree participants. It is just a whole lot of standing around like this: There was one nice little TJ in our group and AMS417 ended up having to pull him off his side :)

I need to find who left that so I can tell them that I am from Pennsylvania, not England and use Telephone pole, not telegraph. I tend to use jagoff in lieu of mate as well. Rest seems to be pretty accurate.

    Control Arms

Order the joints and lock nuts from Summit and order your aluminum arms from WOD. Get exactly what you want and in very timely manner. Probably not the cheapest route, but not outrageous.

Check out this welded lunchbox locker!

I will store that one for possible use in future. I came across a group that was doing the tire turn by hand on a boulder field trail. It was a JK with a broken steering secter shaft. It was going to take them forever to get it off that trail, so I said why don't you take that other JK in...

    Sycamore Creek Trail Long Video

There is an awesome trail off of Sycamore Creek called No Limits that I didn't even make it an 1/8" of a mile into before I broke. I need to head back out there for some redemption. Thanks for the reminder :)

Check out this welded lunchbox locker!

Trailer to a wheeling destination. Break on first day. Weld it up to continue having a good weekend! Lunchbox locker is cheap and worthless when it's broke. I would throw the heat at it in a heartbeat without ever even thinking twice (other than the horrible smell of the residual gear oil...

    Nashville TJ's Build - Continued

I have to admit that I stole a backhoe once when I was in college, the Case key that I had in my pocket whilst walking home from a night out started just about every Case product out there (backhoes, fork lifts, skid steers, etc...) and I was tired of walking. I am happy that I grew up in a...

The only opportunity I had to try it out it was extremely cold outside and it only got the burritos warm, not really hot. So I need to move it closer to the manifold. During the summer my hood gets so hot I can't even touch the hold open rod without gloves, but it was so cold outside on that...

One thing about the American Iron is that on the latest version the steering back to center feel is adjustable. I think the original versions were a little tight and there was some complaints about the return to center, but the version I got you set the return to center by adjusting the torque...
