Savvy off-road sold? (the unofficial Savvy customer support and Savvy rant thread)

I don’t see wrench flats on the lowers in your picture. You sure?

For all of us with two wheels also

I really appreciate that offer. The boots I have are 11, but they’re just a bit too tight. I’m eyeing a marketplace deal on a better pair in size 12 that I might buy.

For all of us with two wheels also

Yikes. Duly noted! My collection so far: Alpinestars sm3 helmet and goggles, bionic action v2 protection jacket (CE lvl 1 chest, back, shoulders, and elbows), and some crusty old O’Neal boots that the seller threw in for free. The Alpinestars stuff seems to be good quality, and I’m glad I found...

For all of us with two wheels also

I read through the beginning of this thread almost a year ago, admiring everyone’s two-wheel stories and pictures. Little did I know I would be making my entry now, but here it goes! Up to a couple months ago, I didn’t have much experience on motorcycles at all, but I recently took the...

    Backspacing for TJ on 37s

You don’t think a front axle stretch and steering stop extension are very significant variables in this scenario?

    Backspacing for TJ on 37s

Aside from finding someone else with the exact same build as you (4.5” lift, long arm geometry, 1.5” front stretch, 3/16” extra steering stop, 4.5” backspacing) except 37” tires, Blaine had already answered your question. Cycle your front suspension and see if you have an extra inch at full...

    New Tool Day

The real joke is the prospect of a rabbi doing manual labor 🥴

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

I have to admit that’s impressive, but you certainly won’t catch me sliding under any vehicle supported by 3D printed jackstands! 😂

    Rechargeable headlamp suggestions

Really happy with a Nitecore headlamp I’ve been using for about 2 years now. Good battery life, comfortable, lightweight, bright with nice features.

The unfortunate TJ of the day thread

Do you think the glove compartment is a dovetailed box mounted on drawer slides?

Oil leak between transmission and engine

Most likely the rear main seal, but could be the rear of the valve cover gasket. Read the first couple posts of this thread on rear main seal replacement (not the whole thing). https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/rear-main-seal-replacement-4-0.826/

Post your side shot videos going over speed bumps at 15mph

Interesting idea. Don’t forget to also control for differences in weight.

    Trail_Krawler & Trail_Willys

Very cool. Not to armchair quarterback your work, but do you think it’s stiff enough to resist racking laterally without cross-bracing?

    Misfire on startup, no codes

I’m sorry to leave this thread hanging, but the problem went away without any changes that I recall.

Seems you can turn a TJ into AWD with 4:1 low range

Sounds like an issue of driving style and/or poor tire condition.

Seems you can turn a TJ into AWD with 4:1 low range

I can’t imagine a scenario where AWD would be more desirable than part-time 4WD in a wrangler, besides pavement. And you would have to reroute almost the entire exhaust and figure out front axle linkages for the axle housing.

    42RLE Hold Gear

The NSG-370 is a manual transmission. Surely you must be confusing it with the automatic 42RLE.
