Bought a used alternator on eBay for $50. It looks pretty rough, but plans are to tear it apart, clean it up and try to order the bearings, brushes and diode pack and see what I get. Looks like if you buy a refurbished one the price is all over the place. $100-$800😬😂

Dang I was hoping you found a bearing and diode pack the would work. 🤬 Think I’ll keep looking. Maybe go to the junk yard and pick up a used one to measure the bearings and find a diode pack to fit.

Hey did this work out for you? There are none on eBay it looks like. Amazon came up blank. I rebuilt a buddies Camaro years ago just replacing the diode. $3 if I remember right. I want to buy a rebuild kit for future use.

I’ve got it during cold weather. I just make the wife press on a certain section of the dash and that fixes it. Until her hand gets tired. 🥱

So all tj’s didn’t come standard with skim? Some have the black key, some the gray?

Cane pole. Bobber. Worm. Sometimes bacon when I was too lazy to dig worms. Nice little brim or bluegill. When I went high tech I tossed the cane pole for a zebco 303😃😍

Glad it didn’t do that on Saturday! When I replaced the ignition switch, the pin, and the tumbler on mine it would intermittently not stay running and the key light would light. Went back to the old tumbler and it fixed that. The original problem was the accessory position would sometimes work...
