How do I get steering wheel radio controls?

I got one, but I hate how it straps to the wheel. Gets in the way.

How do I get steering wheel radio controls?

What would it take to get a steering wheel with radio controls working in a TJ/LJ? An aftermarket column + wheel? Just wondering...

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

Oh dang. Haven't seen that one.

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

This one has the whole assembly. You can print the sliders separately if you only want them. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2523126

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

I did that already, the request was to post the file itself, which is a 3D rendered file (.stl), so that they could print it themselves.

    Ignition cylinder question

I believe my LJ was pretty bare bones. Not much in the way of options. Which is cool since most of them would be outdated anyway.

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

Hey @Chris or @Jerry Bransford, is there any way to make it so we can attach .stl files to posts? Currently it restricts attachments to a small list of file types. I took this file from Thingverse and removed the phone holder arm from it. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4627374

    Ignition cylinder question

I'm beginning to suspect that my ignition cylinder isn't the original. Things I've noticed: 1. My key wasn't SKIM. No chip. I was able to make copies at Lowe's and they work. 2. Tailgate lock fits the key and turns but doesn't lock. 3. Key comes out in position 2, 3, and 4 without hitting the...

Yep, but I did a simple replacement of the existing tray, only deeper.

    Offset and backspace questions

Hey, Jerry! I was hoping you'd be the first to respond. I'm keeping the tires I have - they are new 255/75/R17's, so I'm shopping for 17 x 8 rims in the 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. I just want to replace the rims to get the stance I'm looking for - maybe 1 inch inside those flappy ears - and ditch...

    Offset and backspace questions

I am having the hardest time figuring out what I need for my LJ. I got the 7 inch flares, which was a mistake: Current status is that it's got 255/75/R17's on stock JKU rims with 1.5 inch adapters. I want to get new rims that push the wheels out about 2-3 inches while getting rid of the...

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

I've printed new defroster mesh, AC vents, door handles, a center console tray, a center dash bezel tray, speaker adapters, and a tool for removing the window handles. It's been so much fun, I'm actively looking for more ideas. I read online about someone who printed body lift pucks from PLA...

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

If you can do ABS competently, it's the way to go. I can't, so I stick to PETG. I've got some thermoPLA that can be heat-treated but I haven't tried it out yet.

    Broken driveshaft bolts

I had a similar problem a couple months ago. I tried ordering a replacement shaft but it didn't fit. The BEST advice I got was to take the shaft to a local driveline shop and have it rebuilt. The place I took it charged me $120, rebalanced it, repainted it, made sure everything was strong and...

Leaky doors - what's the threshold before I should do something?

Replaced. This might be the easiest thing I've done on this jeep. As long as you locate the square edge on the new seal, the top 1/2 pops into the channel really easily and the barb rivets pop in really easily as well. I've opted to not rebalance the door hinge/striker in the hope that the...

Tailgate rubber seal (not for hard top) question

Following up - Today I removed the channel completely from the tailgate and used 3M tape to attach the seal all the way around. Provided it sticks, I'm much happier with the fit and how the tailgate closes.

    OBD2 wiring colors

Leaky doors - what's the threshold before I should do something?

I think I just found the problem. Both door seals have splits at the top. Driver side split is 8 inches long, passenger side is 3 inches. Now the question is can I repair them with some sort of glue, or should I replace them both?

Quadratec soft top and it's brand new.
