How thick is the carcass on a C rated tire? I just pulled a piece of broken tail light out from between some treads and it was in there about 1/4”. No leaks obviously, but just wondering if that spot will be weak going forward.

There is some slight forward to backward play in my newly rebuilt NV231. Is it normal to have any? I can slide it forwards and backwards maybe 3/16”.

Should the oil pump be replaced during the rebuild or is that not much of a concern. I’ve got 146k miles on it and only rebuilding because the transmission is out for a rebuild.

Are the engine blocks compatible from a YJ to a TJ? I realize all fuel and ignition components changed even during the TJ years, but if I could get a cheap block would it be compatible with a ‘05? I’ve been rolling around the idea of building a stroker.
