    OD Green 1998 Jeep TJ

Thank you, I believe it took a total of 3 gallons although we used a different linear that was a little cheaper for the black paint/underside. But to do the green we did 2 coats pretty much as it says to cover till it all looks the same so about 2 gallons only for the green to cover everything...

    OD Green 1998 Jeep TJ

The paint I used was Custom Coat federal standard color #34094 olive drab T70 Urethane spray-on truck bed liner. So far it has held up pretty well I have had for over a year now and it hasn't scratched or chipped. Even after I have had tree limbs scrape the side of the jeep when going through...

    OD Green 1998 Jeep TJ

This is a project Jeep I purchased back in 2023. Originally, it was a red and black Jeep TJ, but after months of work it transformed into the green Jeep you see now. The restoration took about three months and involved everything from sandblasting rust off the frame to stripping down all the...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

I am not really sure If I should do a build thread or just leave what I did and how I did it in here, but anyways below I will have the wiring, and how I made the dash, what gauges I used and what gauges are compatible with the 1998 Jeep TJ and I would assume other year TJ to a extent. Part...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

After alot of wiring and late nights due to having to work a lot these past few weeks I have finished my flat CJ style dash. Here is the fine product, although I still need to run my vent lines for defrost and tie up some wires but other than that this is how it turned out. I ended up...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

I just got done removing the old dash, I removed everything that was not needed for the jeep to drive except for the Heater, as I need it for defrost. I am going to be making a cardboard cut out this week to figure out how much material I will need for cost. and looking at it I should be able to...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

3d printing sounds like a good idea, but I am trying to stay away from plastic, I could get one laser cut but I don't know what the cost would be. for the tablet with making a flat dash I would be able to mount one, but other than maps I don't know what I would need one for that my phone...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

I saw the gen right ones and I am not a fan as they are not low profile the are still the same height as the original dash. I want to have the look of a cj dash. like this The reason for removing the old dash is that I don't need that air bag and I want space, I don't care for the look of the...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

Although if Double D fab doesnt respond I am not sure what I am going to do about the dash situation, idk If I will buy the material and make it myself or not. I am running out of time before I have to go back to college.

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

I saw that I was able to verify the amazon gauges using the website and I think I will go with marshals gauges as they are more budget friendly.

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

yes similar more of like this though. I verified off of marshals website to make sure the kit I found on amazon was the same ones he had and the way they connect to the senders and such are the same as the autometer ones so they should work.

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

After looking at the gauges it does seem those would be a viable alternative, thank you for bringing that to my attention. That means i should be able to get the dash for around 500 and then gauges for around 400, over all shouldn't be to bad, will just have to mess with all the wiring(the...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

Do you think he has this set? https://www.amazon.com/Marshall-Black-Gauge-Level-Electric/dp/B011J5R7KK/?tag=wranglerorg-20 Also I was only going with auto meter because it was pretty straight forward with their wiring diagrams, but I am open to using these marshal gauges If I know they will...

Replacing original gauge cluster with after market guages

I saw the thread you made about it before but it didn't seem like you got any good information on aftermarket gauges without swapping the engine. I was able to find some information for the speedo and tach to get those working but I had to look at the sender specs and then find a compatible...
