I have to change the map sensor on my 2004 sahara I cant find oem mopar ones anywhere ive tried the aftermarket standard brand and duralast brand and both of them have failed in less than 3 months If anyone has a source for oem mopar ones please post a link or info thank you

My 2004 TJ air only blows on the high setting. I changed the blower motor resistor and that did not fix the problem. My ‘02 had that issue a few years ago and when i changed it, it fixed it. Where else should i start looking ?

ok great thats good news im planning on replacing the cable tomorrow

i did its intact with the cable disconnected the shifter moves perfect to every position the cable is for sure bad it broke when i disconnected it on both ends and tried moving it but im concerned about the linkage on the trans not moving freely with the cable disconnected

mine had to be an aftermarket one no holes for alignment i went to the local parts store and looked at the ones they sell and they come with an alignment tool which is like a cap they let me borrow their alignment tool to set it and it worked great fired right up on the first crank of the key

yeah i saw that video but his Synchronizer has alignment holes in it to use a tooth pick or a drill bit etc mine for some reason does not have any holes anywhere to align the body and the center piece

Yes I am taking literally everything off of the 04 take out and engine and putting in on the 05 long block intake throttle body all sensors CPS exhaust manifolds front accessories etc etc im basically just using the assembled 2005 long block I already stripped it down and started swapping...

Ok thats what I was thinking also The CPS installs in to the ODPA hole like normal my CPS does not have a alignment holes on the body and the inner piece any tips on how to properly install this with the engine at TDC

Chris Im talking about physically taking the CPS from the 2004 engine and installing it instead of the OPDA in the 2005 I already installed the CPS in to the 2005 engine and it drops in just fine as far as I know the CPS is mechanically operated by the cam gear and there are no mechanical...

Chris thank you I sent you a direct message on here, from what Im reading it looking like I can remove the 2005 OPDA from the 2005 engine and on the 2005 long block install my 2004 CPS along with all of my 2004 sensors, flexplate, torque convertor, brackets, etc and be okay to install it...

Chris what exactly is different between the 2 engines ? I thought I read somewhere that they could swap over if I took all of the sensors from the 2004 and put them on the 2005 engine

yeah i think thats where i am going to start part of me is leaning towards just swapping a new motor in but ill test the coolant for exhaust gases and go from there
