    First Wrangler

Congrats! You're going to have a lot of fun in that thing. I really like the green ones - I kinda miss my old green Sahara. Enjoy!

    Stage Two has begun!

More things ready to go on! I spray painted my new Savvy bumper (picture is from about coat #2), winch plate, and steering skid at the same time I did the hood cowl area today - and got to pick up the M8000-s! The hands held up enough to do the painting, so I'm pretty pleased. Having it all put...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally got rid of the one last bit of eyesore on the Jeep! Got some Stone White touch up paint and did some strip and paint. It's not the best job up close, but it's definitely good enough!

They finally caught some of the thieves in San Diego...

Right, but what I was trying to convey was that these were, most likely, not the only ones they actually stole as the Jeep theft problem here is worse than just 150. For example, around the same time (sorta) that this all started happening, Jerry's Jeep was stolen right out of a parking lot with...

They finally caught some of the thieves in San Diego...

It would help, but not prevent all thefts - Sometimes they just swoop in with a flatbed and scoop them up. It's not cool.

Some parting out, and a lot straight sold whole for driving around.

They finally caught some of the thieves in San Diego...

It's been a problem for a while here. Not all of them were new enough to have to use the computer trick - just ask Jerry :/ My guess is that 150 is a very conservative number...

They finally caught some of the thieves in San Diego...

Looks like the Feds have finally busted a few of the thieves responsible for the San Diego area Wrangler theft boom! They need to catch the rest... sooner would be better than later :/ http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/courts/sd-me-countywide-crime-20170530-story.html

    31's or 33's

This, completely, X2! I haven't even taken my new Antirock on anything that *really* would utilize it properly, but the stuff I have done with it installed has been *FAR better* than when I had disconnects! I can't believe the difference at all - it's an outstanding setup! Everything feels so...

    31's or 33's

You just answered your own question ;)

    31's or 33's

I like my 33's just fine! I have driven *long* road trips on them and gone wheeling in many different places with them. Honestly, if the wife says she likes 33's and is ok with the money being spent to do it right (You will want to re-gear etc. for sure) - Do it! I mean, honestly, how many...

    31's or 33's

I run 33's on the OME lift with a 1" body lift and tummy tuck etc. and love it (It's even fine for trips etc). That being said, it really depends on how you are planning on using it. It's amazing what a Jeep can do on 31's! Once you start going into tucking the belly etc. the cost starts...

A couple more upgrades to the stock bits...

Yeah, this one is staying around and I'll be solo a bit - so might as well! Just ordered an m8000-s and a savvy bumper as well. I have a couple trips planned for it already, once it's done.

A couple more upgrades to the stock bits...

Well, Stage 3 is almost done!! Ordered the Super 35 kit today (Eaton in the rear, and good lunchbox up front) - And, I've gotten the stock steering replaced with the Currie Ultimate setup from Savvy. Completely beefy compared to stock! That, and due to some shenannigans from the shop I no...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Really nice! I still need to put another footman's loop on my passenger door so I can put a strap back on it ;)

What did you do to your TJ today?

Just little wire brushes attached to my drill - although a dremel would probably work as well (And might also be a lot easier to manipulate!). As for the grey on black, I think I would only do that if the flares were the same color - otherwise it would be the only stand-out grey piece. Don't...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Thanks! It was surprisingly easy! Just making sure the masking was good took a little while, but really only took me about an hour to get both prepped and ready for paint. Definitely worth the effort!

What did you do to your TJ today?

I went from the typical shitty rusty door latches, to nice freshly blackened door latches! Some brown paper, a lot of blue tape, a fair amount of wire wheeling, and some good ol' Rustoleum Flat Black Enamel! I feel so much better not seeing that rust now. Not perfect, but *SO* much better...

    The dreaded "tap"

This is a long shot, but could it be one of your brake calipers tapping? I know that sometimes the part they rest on can get worn down a bit and cause them to move about and tap together at times. Does the tapping go away if you hit the brakes? Just a thought.

Best TJ review out there... (humorous)

That's up in Humboldt county along the Avenue of the Giants - it's the Chandelier Tree! The jeep won't fit through it anymore after the lift and tires, though. Glad I did it when it was still at stock height! Really great place to go - the Avenue is fantastic! http://www.drivethrutree.com/home.html
