What did you do to your TJ today?

Happy to report that my TJs vibration is finally fixed. Turned out to be a bad alignment. After 2 trips to a "specialized" shop, I decided to do it myself following @Jerry Bransford post. Turned out that toe in was messed up. It took me less than an hr to fix it and get rid of the vibration...

    H&R 1” lift

My vibration is more of a humming that I feel in the floorboard, I suspect of the rear wheel balance, I`ll swap em with the front ones and see what happens. Pressure is equal on all at 28

Hi, I`ve got the same vibration kicking in at about 50mph, I have the same setup as you (Ranchos + H&R). I`ve playing around dropping the transfer case pan with not much success, I also measured my drivetrain angles and they seem to be ok... Let`s see what the rest of the forum suggests,,,

Here`s a view from the top that might give a better idea of the space. I would be taking out the Jeep logo plastic cover.

    Lifter Tick or Exhaust Leak?

I had the exact same thing on my 06 4.0. I lived with it for a couple of years until one time when I touched the OPDA when it was ticking and noticed something hitting inside the housing in sync with the tick. I changed the OPDA and the tick was gone for good. Now I only hear a much slighter...

What did you do to your TJ today?

replacing the OPDA... Mi tick was not at startup. It started ticking when temp reached 50-60 deg, and stopped just before fully warm

    How to change your OPDA

Question for the OPDA gurus... I replaced mine yesterday. Ticking noise is gone!. While doing a post-mortem on the old part, I noticed wear in the hilicoidal gear, what I consider excesive play in the wheel that caused it to rub against the sensor, and wear on one side of the bottom part. I...

What did you do to your TJ today?

For me it was just a ticking noise while it was warming up, somewhere betweeen 60 and 80 deg. Once it was warmed up it would stop...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Replaced the OPDA, no more knocking between 60 and 80 deg... Old unit showed some gear wear and excesive wheel play. This was starting to rub against the sensor. I think I caught it on time before a bigger failure.
