Sure. It'll be a couple of weeks, but happy to report back. The fact there's no wiring harness that I could see is particularly concerning.

Ok, thanks. Could this be the remnant of the old O2 sensor? It's behind the cat up above the skidplate...but I can't see much of it. Don't even see a wire harness for it anywhere.

I've got a '97 2.5L. I can only find the upstream sensor that's in the engine bay (by the firewall just south of where the manifold meets the exhaust pipe). Where is my downstream sensor located?? I'm getting a P0138 code. I followed the exhaust pipe around the engine bay, but can't find...

its almost as if the steering gear box has shifted too far forward? Is it a bad idea to remove the pitman arm?

Oh, yeah, I've got that. It actually locked at one point and then I put the keys in to unlock it (during this process).

Not sure, how do I tell?

I did this, and it worked great to get access to the connector on the gear box. But now I can't get the damn gearbox back on! It's like it rotated away from the bolt holes on the frame. Any suggestions?

Thanks Chris. I'll go double check that the manifold bolts are tight and then I'll scoot under there to see if I can find any issues. Are there particular failure points that I could pay attention to?

First I thought this was a bad pulley or belt, but that's not where the sound seems to be coming from. It seems to be coming from the bottom of the vehicle, maybe right below where the firewall is? Hard to really isolate. Check out the video for the sound. My neighbor thinks it could be an...

Update: the bug was fixed some time ago, I just needed to update the firmware. Now it works well, and I highly recommend it.

It’s external wired. I ran the wire behind the dash and behind the drivers side a-pillar, and the mic clips onto the sun visor.

Here’s what it looks like. I have to say, the alpine ilx w650 works great for everything but phone calls. There’s a software bug where the phone audio is so low you can’t hear the other person when you’re traveling at any speed. Until that’s fixed I can’t recommend it.

I’ll take a pic and post tomorrow. I did have to cut the sub dash but used aviation snips and it was a really quick job. There are a few videos on YouTube that give you the general idea.

Just a heads up for everyone considering an alpine Ilx-w650 and the metra double din kit - the screen is slightly smaller than the opening in the kit so you’ll have a bit of a gap on the top or the bottom of the deck.

Is the hecasa the same as the metra? They look slightly different but maybe I’m just imagining that.

Didn't see anything specifically on point, so I'm wondering if we can get a thread going on the best double din bezel options for our TJs. I've got a 97, and I see a few options on Amazon for the double din bezel replacements. Do you all have any opinions on which kit is the best?
