Thanks, great advice here as always. I will see about changing filter brands, using high-mileage, and maybe even getting it tested. Guess I will stick with 1x per year for now if I stay around 1,000 or 1,500 miles a year. Thanks again, guys!
Curious about advice here on if I am doing anything wrong or need to make any changes to my maintenance schedule:
1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ with 4 cylinder engine with 203k miles.
Got this Jeep with around 200k in fall of 2018 from original owner who was a mechanic and said he maintained it well...
Thanks y’all, I couldn’t get the screw out so just replaced both calipers and soft lines, which probably needed to be done anyway. It was actually a much easier process than I had anticipated. Should be good for a while now!
I just did this today:
Got some primed pine from Home Depot for $5 and ripped the top at at 45 degree angle on the table saw.
Two screws per board in the studs.

You might think that, but it is actually rated higher by users in certain models on Quadratec. About equal on Amazon. And overall pretty good reviews on other sites. I am in the market, so I have been looking at these.
I'm not really advocating for either, just objectively looking at the...
I would expect it not to leak.
I looked closer at the existing soft top that came on my Jeep and was surprised to see that it is Smittybilt from 2014. I thought it was OEM because it is really tight, looks awesome, doesn't flap, and I have gotten compliments on it.
The owner before me really...
Thanks, yes, I did call and they were very nice and helpful. But they acted like they couldn't disclose the exclusive supplier other.
Probably is some sort of deal worked out to discount a certain number, which is perhaps why they only offer one type (black and tinted). Not sure why the fit...
