    Dana 44 gearing fun

I will most likely just bolt everything together enough to get it rolling in neutral as suggested. And to clarify I do agree 4.10 is far under geared and that's what I thought it was based upon calculations. I will be regearing to 4.88

    Dana 44 gearing fun

This is an interesting situation and long story. To start a little info on my 98 sport. The PO put 35s on it and it wasn't set up for it. I corrected a few small problems such as back spacing and calculated the diff gear ratio based upon MPH, RPMS, being in 4th gear, and the diameter of the...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I did this last night but we removed to OE tail lights to put flush mount ones on and installed a single LED pod. I also took a heat gun to my faded fender flares. Tomorrow I'm installing the next pod because I liked the first one and I'll be changing my tranny fluid. And yes she needs a wash.

    Door storage

This is my setup it came with the jeep when I bought it great for moving the doors and storing them. I use the ratchet strap to hold them in place so they don't fall off.

$35 is not bad. Depending on the quality might even be a good deal.

    $20 door hangers

I have a door dolly built out of PVC pipes that I put the doors in and ratchet strap them in place when moving them. it came with the jeep from the previous owner. It's a great way for me to store my doors in the garage and move them to and from the jeep.

Do I need to have CB radio power isolated, or can it be shared?

I used an add a circuit to run mine through where the fuse would have been for the rear wiper on my jeep. I run it that way because it was quick and easy plus the it is only powered while the car is on so I don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it on. There are some downsides like some...

Wheel Balancing: Clip-on Weights vs. Stick-on Weights

I have always found that the clip on weights provide a better balance because you can have more weight in a smaller area then you could stick on weights depending on the amount of weight needed. But if the Tech is even somewhat decent you should have a solid balance every time no matter if you...

Helicoil for a stripped caliper bolt hole in steering knuckle?

I was working on my 1998 4.0 last night and when I removed the caliper mounting bolt I found it was covered in grease and the hole it threads into on the steering knuckle was stripped. I guess who ever changed the brakes for previous owner had stripped it. I don't want to buy a new knuckle if I...

    Odd tire wear

One thing for OP I have seen peoples who have had their tires "rotated" and a shop missing one side or just never did the rotation and the customer thought they were having that done. And for Beach_vibes I have seen messed up suspension do that in all kinds of forms, but in my experience if both...

Black headlight bezel on a black TJ?

I did mine with just a little cleaning and sanding to remove the dirt and debris. Then I took some rustoleum pro high performance enamel to it. I love it and it looks great.
