    The Multifunction Switch Blues

Old thread but your timing is great. I had the same issue after reassembling. Periodically, the left blinker would come on solid. I thought it could be the brake but also could just be the springs are worn and the lever is sagging a bit - to the point where it makes contact. I finally gave up...

Blower motor / fan switch high current bypass (critique my wiring diagrams)

@bfabian76 Yes, still working perfectly. Not sure if this thread captures it but I was still having some overheating wire issues. I finally went after looking for voltage drops. Turns out, the last leg of the +12v wire to the fan was pretty corroded. I replaced all of the +12v wire with 10...

An unusual solution to engine taking a long time to start

@Claytone I am very intrigued by your comments. I recently had an issue on my second TJ where it would start right away when cold but wouldn't start after it was warmed up unless I held the accelerator to the floor. I cleaned the throttle body and haven't seen the issue (although I've only...

    Chili Pepper Decal

As some of you know, both of my TJs are Chili Pepper Red. Wife came into my office and dropped this on my desk today Anyone know where the decal would typically have been placed from the factory? Not committed to putting it on yet but if I do, it would be cool to put it in the right spot...

Rear differential bolt broken in half (can I get by without it?)

You can buy yourself some room by putting the frame on jackstands, removing the rear wheels, and lowering the axle. My big concern would be that the bolt may be misthreaded. It only calls for something like 20-25 ft lbs of torque to tighten them so you have to wonder how the PO broke one.

I have my choice of any of my 6 dogs when we go for a drive. However, I prefer my 3 yo American Pitt. He seems to like riding around the best. Choices (and the pack sorted by age) are as follows 1. Boxer 2. American Pitt 3. Pitt / lab mix 4. Australian Shepherd/lab mix 5. Tennessee Treeing...

    Heater issue on 2001 TJ

@Mike Gibbs additionally, the first issue I dealt with on TJ#1 was a complete heater core blockage. However, this did not cause any other issues than no heat. Why? Because the cooling path to the heater core is a separate coolant path than the main engine coolant. If that is blocked, the system...

    Heater issue on 2001 TJ

OP means Original Poster. Their issue is with a blower motor not spinning Read the first post again. It says "no fan blowing" So that is an electrical issue. Unless, of course you (or your mechanic) thinks the heater hose is restricting the blower motor. Placement of heater hoses will not...

Is There A Tracker In My New Jeep?

After months and months of work getting my Jeep ready, my wife and I took it to a small town to spend a day out. We parked it on a busy street and went to an antique store she loves. The store was closed so we walked back to the Jeep, only to find someone getting in it to try to steal it. We...

    Heater issue on 2001 TJ

@Goatman for what it's worth, I thought the same thing. It shouldn't matter which way the hoses are connected to the heater core on our TJs. My guess is that if it solved a no heat issue, then switching the hoses blew out some restriction that was impeding flow. The OPs issue seems to be...
