Do I trade up to a LJ Rubicon?

If financially possible, buy the LJ and keep the TJ. If you change your mind about it you can sell either one to recoup your money.

    Engine oil

Guys over on BITOG likes the Valvoline Maxlife brand. I've used it myself prior to my RMS completely going out. It did slow the drip but eventually it had to be changed out.

    Bronco vs. Wrangler

Toyota revived the FJ with just the name plate but none of the DNA. I don't expected Toyota to commit to building these types of vehicles ever again.

    Upgrading the underhood light

No, just the two light pods on the sound bar. I drilled some holes and mounted on the wiper motor cover. That seems to be the most convenient position for me.

    Upgrading the underhood light

I also mounted one in the back. with a flip of the switch I have light. Tapped right into the existant dome light and grounded to the tub. Very useful.

    Upgrading the underhood light

I spliced it into the oe wire and ground it on the hood bumper stud. In case I'd ever need to remove the GM light, I'll still have the stock light available. Real easy mode once you have everything on hand.

What did you do to your TJ today?

DEI is expensive but I do like and use their reflective heat tape. Check out Amazon brand instead. They have different sizes and far cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W4GM1MK/?tag=wranglerorg-20

What did you do to your TJ today?

It is reflective heat wrap with velcro. I use the Amazon brand "A Team Performance" and DEI aluminum tape to tape up the ends. I too begin to have brittle plastic due to the heat. Check those rubber vacuum nipples on the side of the intake too. Mine crumbled in my hands...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Haven't seen anyone did this yet. Since the TJs engine bay is like an oven I'd figured heat wrapped some lines to prevent it from deteriorating so fast.
