Which rear axle would you choose?

Yeah, if the only negative is that I'll never break it, I'm sold lol.

What did you do to your TJ today?

I put about 300 miles on my Jeep in 2020, and it's my daily driver right now lol.

Which rear axle would you choose?

Is there a downside to the Currie60 vs a Dana44? I was originally thinking I didn't want to get into the 60's because I wanted to keep my Jeep pretty light and nimble and I would most likely never use it anywhere close to its breaking point... but does the 60 really have any negative effects on...

Which rear axle would you choose?

Ok well thanks for the heads up anyway, I'll dig a little more.

Which rear axle would you choose?

Could you point me to some? I'm considering buying the 489 and I haven't seen much negative feedback. I would like to read other perspectives and opinions. AFAIK the ECGS 489 is a JK Dana44 center with the larger ring gear, and the rest is theirs. Here's the page for their 30spline version...

Which rear axle would you choose?

I voted for ECGS 489 not out of experience, but because that's the axle I decided to go with (plus they're local to me).

What is the best headlight for the money?

I really really wanted the KC Gravity headlights... but I just couldn't bring myself to drop that kinda bread on headlights. I ended up 'settling' for the KC HiLites H4 halogen lights but it turns out I couldn't be happier. At first I told myself I'd run these until I got the major...

Wondering if anyone has ever tried doing a body color match vinyl wrap on their armor?

Roger. Sorry, I guess I misunderstood. I doubt you could go wrong with any of those. Good luck.

    Bumper Dialog

What features are you looking for? Start there, you can at least eliminate a bunch of them. For example, I am also in the market for bumpers and doing research. I want a lightweight stubby winch bumper with a short bar and space for 6" light mounts, therefore I am leaning toward the Savvy. I...

Help convince me I am not crazy for buying a TJ (so I can convince my wife)

I assume you meant $10k... and brother, if you can find a clean Rubicon for $10k you better jump on it! Or avoid like the plague, because it's probably a scam, lol.

Help convince me I am not crazy for buying a TJ (so I can convince my wife)

If you have basic mechanical skills and a desire to learn as you go and the money to buy the right tools and potentially fix any mistakes you might make, Jeeps are great fun! I was in the same boat as you two years ago and have been having a blast working on my Jeep and learning as I go... but I...

Is it worth buying a high pinion Dana 30?

I got these 4340 axle shafts from ECGS awhile back, inners and outers.

Is it worth buying a high pinion Dana 30?

I'm leaning toward this now, since I've already got the axle shafts and the balljoints... I'll just regear then. Can the Dana 30 handle 5.13's? Or should I stick to 4.88's?

Is it worth buying a high pinion Dana 30?

I have the Teraflex Balljoints on my knuckles right now, but I wasnt sure if they were transferable or one and done installs?

Is it worth buying a high pinion Dana 30?

Fully built, so shafts, ball joints, gears, truss, sleeves, locker, everything. ECGS is local to me, so yeah, super convenient. Problem is I have to do gears, so if I geared the existing front it would cost me a ton of money anyway, I feel like at that point might as well invest that money in...
