    Drive Shaft explanation video

I just watched this Youtube video series and its the best visual explanation I've ever seen of why drive shafts vibrate. I thought I would share it here. He's got a pretty good visual demonstration on 4 links too.

    Cyber trucks on broken arrow

A customer of mine spotted a group of cyber trucks on Broken Arrow trail in Sedona. While not exactly a hard trail, its still pretty impressive for a full sized(ish) truck. He stated that the cyber trucks performed "fine" on the whole trail.

Which hole on this Antirock is firmer?

Trying to wrap my head around this little corner of physics. Custom rear sway bar with the antirock mounted in front of the rear axle. The AR comes with a little bracket that has 3 adjustment holes. Which is firmer... the one closer to the axle... Or the one further away... My brain is...

Allowing tire rub at full bump

Assuming that your bump stops are set properly, to protect suspension, steering and frame components, do you allow the tires to rub slightly on the fenders at full flex? I've noticed that with my JL, my PW and my TJ, that when fully flexed out, ie (teetering on two wheels) the shocks are never...

Pitman arm to steering arm ratio

Does anyone have any input for the length of the steering arm (balljoint to drag link) vs length of pitman (center of splines to drag link)? From what I've gathered on various forums, the pitman arm should be 90% of the length of the steering arm. Does that work well with ram assist?

    Wire Taps

What do you guys use for wire t's or taps. For example a signal wire from a light or something like that? Lots of "easy to use!" products but I've never really been impressed with any of them. Whats permanent, sealed and ultra reliable? What do the pros use?

    Tub height measurement

Could someone with a 4" suspension lift (12" from bucket to perch.), 1.25" bl, and 35's measure from the ground to the bottom of the tub, below the tail light. I had lots of measurements before I started my build but I've moved too many things, just trying to get an estimated height when...

    Antirock limits?

Just having an idle thought, is there a functional limit of what an antirock can handle? obviously they can handle 12" travel shocks, but what about 14"? 16"? Is there a known point they become over twisted and metal fatigue sets in?

Is the Ultimate Dana 44 a good candidate for a swap?

It's not too uncommon for JK axles to be modified to be put into a custom TJ build. But you are still limited by small/weak ball joints, thin axle tubes, and weak C's. The new JL Rubicon axles are much more robust but still have weak points. What about the Ultimate Advantek Dana 44. Upgraded...

    Cutting corner blanks

I'm considering stretching the rear of my TJ. The Genright tank states you can move the axle back 6-7 inches, but their aluminum stretch corner armor only moves the wheel opening back 4". I've looked at all of the other companies offerings and it seems they are all the same. I would like to take...

    Brake line relocation

I'm looking to replace my hard brake lines and decided to make my own. a few questions... Is there any reason the proportioning valve cannot be relocated to the frame? One the front axle... Is there any reason I cannot run two -6AN lines along the upper 3 link control arm, then hard lines down...

What do people do with these body lift snubbers?

Any info or advice on modifying a rear driveshaft double cardan joint for a little more flexibility?

Does anyone have any info or advice on modifying a rear driveshaft double cardan joint for a little more flexibility? Do they make a "High Angle" DC? Can you grind a little off the "H" for a tad more clearance? My 12" Foxes are pushing past the limits of what mine can handle.
