    New General ATX Tires

I like mine. They have about 15,000 miles on them and I rotate every 4,000 to 5,000 miles with the spare which is the same. They do well in snow but a word of caution; they hydroplane easily when hitting a large puddle at normal driving speed. Will definitely buy them again.

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Update on O2 sensor replacement and code P0174. As previously mentioned I replaced all 4 O2 sensors on my 2004 TJ I6 manual with NTKs. The Jeep has 145,000 miles on it and code P0138 (Bank 1 Sensor 2) came up after hitting a few really big puddles after the deluge from Hurricane Ida. I can't say...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

I'm with you Jerry but I am able to cruise down the road at normal speeds. My idle is low and it sometimes misfires while driving. I checked all vacuum hoses, electrical connections, etc. in an attempt to determine the problem. The part that has me confused is that when I cleared the P0138 code...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Does this shit never end? Replaced all 4 O2 sensors with the correct NTKs due to a P0138 code as well as having 146,000 miles on TJ. Cleared code by disconnecting ground. Re-checked by turning ignition key to on three times and getting done; code cleared all good right? Took TJ for a ride...

How do I remove the post-cat O2 sensors?

I just did this job and can hopefully help. I used the Tekton socket as shown in another post this thread (3rd pic in from left). Several days before attempting to loosed I soaked the base of the sensor with Kroil. I have found Kroil to be superior to all others as it creeps into the threads via...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

If you are asking for the part numbers for the upstream O2 sensors here they are: Bank 1-Sensor 1 NTK 23137, Bank 2-Sensor 1 NTK 23135. If you are looking for the pre-cat numbers someone with more knowledge can hopefully answer your question.

    Once again, thank you Jerry.

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Hopefully, this is the last question on O2 sensors. After replacing all 4 sensors with NTK and clearing the code by disconnecting ground strap does it take a little while for the computer to re-adjust the settings? No codes showing but it is running a little rough with some hesitation spots...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

I finally got them apart but went through every profanity I know as well as a few I made up on the spot. Glad it's over. The whole time I'm thinking I would love to get my hands on the sadistic bastard who designed this fastener.

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Jerry, I finally got the bastard apart after spending hours on it. I literally had to break the locking tab on the sensor female connector and then pull it apart enough to get a pair of small snap ring pliers on the space in between to push the two apart. The rubber seal got hung up and was...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

This s*** never ends. Began installing new NTK sensors on 2004 TJ. All are loose, however, the plastic connection on two of them is giving me fits. I can't get the the male and female separated. There is a tab on top of the female sensor connector that I can push down on but cannot get Bank 2...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Yes they do Jerry. I was going to put on a little more being careful not to get any on the sensor.

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

OK, update on O2 sensors. I was able to loosen three of the 4 sensors, making sure there was plenty of Kroil that was able to migrate into the threads as I worked them back and forth. I just wrench tightened because I'm waiting for my full order from Amazon to arrive; all NTK sensors as per the...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Thanks Jerry. Went out this morning and was able to loosen three of the four sensors. I had been soaking them for several days. The last one Bank 1 Sensor 2 is not cooperating but time is on my side. More Kroil and several more days of soaking. Believe it or not I was able to loosen the other...

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Thanks, hopefully it won't come to that but we have an excellent shop in town.

Are NTK / NGK O2 Sensors the same?

Thanks again Jerry. Any danger of busting out the weldolet on the cat body using this much torque?

    Question about Bestop sunrider feature

Agreed. I have left mine on through PA winters and there is enough heat to keep me warm. It is a Bestop which is the only one I can recommend.
