    Jerrycan Mount for Rear Bumper

I like this idea, I’ll have to look if it’s even possible to work something out.

    Jerrycan Mount for Rear Bumper

I built one like this months back, but I can only carry one can on the driver side. The one mounted on the passenger side of the swing out hits hard top and blocks the back glass from opening.

    Jerrycan Mount for Rear Bumper

I als I also thought about using one side to mount maybe two 5lb propane tanks for those long trips to use with the cook stove.

    Jerrycan Mount for Rear Bumper

I definitely plan on coming up with some form of a locking mechanism. I don’t trust anyone nowadays.

I have hardly any rear view window anyway with my spare tire. I see just the tire.

    Jerrycan Mount for Rear Bumper

That’s my plan for the moment. I have a fuel jug and a water jug I’m going to mount. My idea is if I ever was to need the two cans of gas for a week long trip I’d just throw the water jug in the back of the Jeep and throw a second fuel jug on the rack. I’d rather be over prepared than underprepared.

You get 240+ Miles from one tank of gas ? I’m lucky to get 190miles on a tank.

    Jerrycan Mount for Rear Bumper

I am working on building a Jerrycan mount for the back bumper of my Jeep. The pictures show the overall idea and it’ll have two jugs mounted instead of just one. I was wondering if the smittybilt jerrycan mount will fit the military style scepter cans? If not I found option 2 on Amazon. Will...

Ideal setup for 33 inch tires?

I was looking at buying a set of YJ brake lines for my 05 TJ, but the advanced auto page has two sets for the front, an Extended set and a Standard length. They also only show the non ABS lines. Did 05 TJ come with ABS systems? Do I need to worry about that ? I have a 3.25” lift.

    Choosing the right lift?

I have been swayed away from trying to run 35", I am going to try and tone in my current lift and run 33".

    Choosing the right lift?

Yes, I can when I get home in a week. I am currently going to college in a different town. The reason I believe they are sagging is because I purchased an adjustable track bar that was for 3-4" lift. On the smallest setting of the track bar it was still too long, so I am assuming the springs sagged.

    Choosing the right lift?

I am going to try a new set of shocks on my jeep first, if that does not make me happy. I will look into a new lift completely. I appreciate your advice, I will run a 33" tire and not deal with the headache and price of running 35".

    Surco Safari Rack

I am open for any suggestions, drilling through the top is a big deal. I will look into the yakima racks. Do you have any idea how much weight that rack could support on the roof? I would not wanna risk ruining my hardtop by crushing or cracking the plastic.

    Surco Safari Rack

I am in the market for a roof rack system to install on the top of my TJ to carry some plastic containers for kitcken, food, recovery gear. Also thinking about installing an ARB awning and axe/Shovel on the sides of the rack. I have looked into the GOBI racks, but if I could avoid dropping that...

How-to make a DIY tailgate table for your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I am currently working on a metal fold down table that will feature a slide out cutting board. I do not have any pictures with me at the time, but when I finish it I will upload some.

    Choosing the right lift?

Okay, I’ll look into the rancho shocks and a SYE and new driveshaft. Would it be smart to throw a new skid plate under the Jeep and get rid of the factory skid plate ?

    Choosing the right lift?

I really appreciate everyone’s replies. Any brand suggestions for a new set of shocks to pair with my RC lift ? The lift came with the N2.0 nitrogen shocks. Also, the kit included the transfer drop kit should I look into purchasing SYE kit and new control arms? I’m not sure if 3” of lift is...

    Choosing the right lift?

Well, my idea with the build is to be able to go anywhere in the United States. Anywhere fine Washington State to Florida. I have lots of trip ideas planned to go all over. I have heard body lifts are not good, and it’s better to go full suspension.
