SOLD For Sale - 2006 TJ Rubicon 6 Speed

Selling my 2006 Rubicon. I bought it with 157,000 miles and it's only been used in the summer and now has 161,000 miles. All parts and accessories have less than 4000 miles on them. I've enjoyed it so much that I bought a Gladiator late last year and don't need 2 similar vehicles. In the last 2...

    Oil Pump Priming?

I'm in the process of changing my rear main seal and I've had the oil pan off for most of the week, work and other stuff came up. Should I prime the oil pump after I reassemble since it has been drained for 5 days? If so, what's the process on a 2006 4.0? Or should I just pull the plugs and...

    Worn out catalytic converter?

I've got my exhaust off to repair my rear main seal on my 06 Rubicon and the forward 2 cats look funny. The media heights are different between them, like one is halfway down the body and the other is near the top. In the 3000 miles that I've owned it, it has always been pretty anemic but I was...

    Upper Axle Bushing Walking Out?

When I installed my lift last year I replaced the upper axle bushing using a rented ball joint press. It seems I didn't get it fully installed as it seems to have walked out some. Is there a specific cup I need to press this in? All the ones in the kit were too big or too small.

What U-Joints for 2006 Rubicon Front Driveshaft?

Hey gang, had to do the walk (trailer) of shame home tonight. The ujoint closest to the t-case started coming apart and I had to abandon the Jeep in a parking lot. I didn't have a wrench small enough or a socket extension long enough to pull the driveshaft out in the parking lot so on the...

    Intermittent Chirp Above 45mph

Hello again, in the saga of odd noises here's a new one for me. 06 Rubicon, 6sp manual and recently when driving 45 and above there's a chirping sound from what sounds like the passenger front area. It's a pretty steady sound, not the seat, glove box or the hvac blower. It doesn't vary with...

2006 4.0 water pump replacement: Anything else I should replace while I'm in there?

I've got quite a bit of coolant splash on the axle and frame rails on my 06 with 160k miles on it. I'm planning to replace the water pump with another Mopar pump. Anything else I should replace while I'm in there? Hoses, belt, thermostat etc?

    Free Alignment Check Report

After installing my Currie 4" lift and aligning via tape measure and sticks I thought I'd get an alignment report. My local Chevy dealer does a free drive up check. Below are my results. The camber has me kinda confused but they had almost the same result when I took in my Ram Power Wagon...

Is this noise coming from the clutch or throwout bearing? (video)

Video attached. I was in deep mud/clay yesterday, up to the floorboard, and then pressure washed the Jeep top to bottom and underneath. Now I get the noise in the video, engine on or off. Thoughts?

    Super Flappy Soft Top

I bought a used (supposedly one year old Mopar top) but in great looking condition soft top for my 06 TJ complete with surrounds, bows, etc. It fits well but anything over 40 mph and the flapping is deafening to the point in my 10 minute commute my ears ring. I've played with windows cracked vs...

    Phone and CB Holder Solution

I got tired of my cb mic just rattling around on the dash and not having a way to use nav on my phone in the TJ. About an hour in Fusion 360 and 6 hours of print time I have this. All for the low price of $1.00 worth of filament.

06 Rubicon 4 Currie Lift and Cam Bolts

All, I'm in the process of installing a 4" Currie Lift and am a bit stumped on the front lower control arms. The oem cam washers were pretty snug in the horseshoe. The Currie supplied washers have a solid 1/8" of play in the horseshoe. Do I try and center them or roll the axle to put them at...
