    Looking for TJ suspension suggestions

Thanks... I don't think we would change much for our use... It doesn't see any hard off-road use... It used mostly as a driver, we take it out on the beach a few times a year, & logging & hunting / fishing roads / trails. It handles much better now, obviously, compared to it old worn-out...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

You can put 5.25" speakers in the front dash location... it requires adapter plates but is an easy upgrade. The Polk Audio DB 522 I believe are the ones most have recommended.... nice thing about the DB series is the have a high sensitivity rating so they will perform well even with lower power...

Invested a TJ into my future

Welcome to the forum from CT... We had a similar build process that you are considering... our TJ is used 90% on paved roads the rest is gravel / dirt logging roads or on the beach, so we opted to go pretty stock with the suspension with only a few upgrades. Most everything we did was...

Looking for opinions on home inspection report (roofing and pool experts)

Glad the roof is being fixed / covered under warranty.... Luckily my wife had horses before she met me & she was all set with that... besides our 4 dogs cost enough... :) We've had a pool for the last 18+ years & although there is maintenance I don't mind having it.... ours is a 16 x 32...

Looking for opinions on home inspection report (roofing and pool experts)

Being in the contracting field my entire life (35+ yrs).... I have to say I'm impressed with the inspection report... granted a lot of it is generic but it is a very through report. I have seen much worse... I think I would look into the roofing tiles repairs prior & if justified negotiate a...

    Frame Repair 02 TJ (Massachusetts)

I would definitely assess the rest of the frame first.... Pocono Metal Craft is another great source for frame repair panels... I've used their panels with great results. https://poconometalcraft.com/collections/1997-2006-tj-jeep-wrangler-frame-repair

For grease guns I run: - Lincoln 1134 with a Lock n Lube connector - good gun & no leaks & priced right (great go to) - Lock n Lube LNL252 - great gun / but still over priced - no leaks - Milwaukee 2646 18V Battery Powered Grease Gun - Way Over Priced (I was given mine) - But the rats...

How can I clean salt off my frame?

I promise no disrespect at all.... but again.... I just do see the help in this type of comment... "Get a for sale sign and think of a price for it. Look for your next one in the south, and don't ever drive on the salted roads again ;) " Again... I know they are meant with a "curve" but for...

    Aftermarket Radio Wiring

Ok, to really answer your questions.... AS C.J.Roberts said - No do not just replace the fuse 10 amp to 15 amp.... Install an auxiliary fuse block for your accessories... (yes you can keep running stuff to the battery/fuse adder kits... but not preferred) - you can use a relay off the...

How can I clean salt off my frame?

Sorry but I hate these comments "Get a for sale sign and think of a price for it. Look for your next one in the south, and don't ever drive on the salted roads again ;) " I know they are meant with a "curve" but for someone really dealing with the "salt belt" that you don't it is not...

    Your girl with your TJ

This is a GREAT thread.... meet my wife in '93 when she was a high school senior (I'm dating myself as I'm older & we didn't get married till 2008)... we connected because of cars... but she was never an off-road / truck / ATV / Jeep person... well after a couple of years & me going through...

How many of you use your TJ as a daily driver?

We bought ours new in 99 & it was a daily driver for one of us up until a 2015... We have 6 vehicles between the two of us & we still drive it 3 or 4 days a week... not because we have to... Just because we want to.

Synthetic oil made my rear main seal leak

This is interesting to me... I have been running full synthetic since around 1990 in everything I own that has a motor... (that is a lot of stuff)... This includes our 99 jeep which we switched as soon as it 10K + miles (synthetics are not great for break-in). I've never contributed a leak...
