CB SWR level is extremely high

When I tune I usually just do it on channel 20 and where ever I can get the lowest number is what I stick at. Lazy I know but once you get into the sweet spot height wise you are just making small adjustments. Your shorter 2’ antenna is probably what’s holding you back a little but you should be...

CB SWR level is extremely high

If you want to chase perfection find a way to add in extra height. Most use a spring. You would probably be able to run without the tip/screwed in all the way with a spring.

CB SWR level is extremely high

Ok this tells me the antenna needs to move up. Try to put the tip on and start adjusting it up little by little. If you start seeing an improvement but run out of adjustment you will need to add maybe a spring or something to raise the antenna up. Keep the strap off for now

CB SWR level is extremely high

It could be a couple of things. The antenna should not be contacting the metal base hence why there is the plastic washer. If the grounding cable is touching the center section or connecting it somehow you just grounded the antenna. It could also just be creating a path for interference. My...

CB SWR level is extremely high

Not sure if I see this right but you may want to use that 4th hole on the mount. It requires you to drill through the tub. Mine was very unstable without it.

Getting a good ground on CB antenna mount

Getting a good ground is important. Another thing that is often over looked is the height of your antenna. I don't mean this as 2' 3' 4' ect. Your 2' antenna will have a sweet spot for its height in comparison to your jeep (the grounding) Sometimes by changing things such as adding/removing a...

Improve My Perspective on Automatic Transmissions

You should be using your starter, not the clutch.

Improve My Perspective on Automatic Transmissions

Ok wasn’t sure if that was what you were getting at and yes I agree you need as deep gearing as you can get. My basic argument which I agree with what you said above it will take more money and struggle more but still get through. To me I’m ok with that. The manual guys you off-road with. Do...

Nothing. What do your manual transmissions need? (Serious question.)

Improve My Perspective on Automatic Transmissions

Can you elaborate on those situations. I have a really hard time finding any content on this subject that is not spewed out by someone trying to sell something. I’ve read what jerry wrote above but I want to know what things and places you are specifically talking about.

Improve My Perspective on Automatic Transmissions

I have. It taught me limits. It also pushed me to learn why and how I can improve. I’ve seen your posts and I know you do the same. It’s fine if you are tired of driving a manual off-road but don’t say that it’s the transmissions fault. Many people have lost the art and knowledge of driving a...

Improve My Perspective on Automatic Transmissions

Depends on who you are. If you wanted the fastest lap times today you would go out and get a dual clutch auto. If you want to enjoy the technical aspect and feel of shifting but slower times you go manual. Same for off roading. If you want to hit the gas and go up the trail with no thoughts...
