Seems likely. Is there a general consensus for a replacement gasket? Brand, type, etc? Fel-Pro? Mopar?

Rats... I found one loose in the back, tightened and checked all the rest. All seemed tight, but the whistle remains.

Did you find the bolt loose or did you spray some PB Blaster or similar and tighten bolts that already felt like they were solid?

Meaning I can change the pitch by pressing the gas, and when I give it enough gas (vacuum drops) the whistle goes away. The attached video explains better than I.

My center console and sub were a bit torn up by a PO, so I removed all previous work and installed a small, thin powered Kenwood sub... Had to weld a bracket and modify the center console slightly (lost a bit of the already small storage area), but it sounds and works great considering the small...

And one last note... When I look for a replacement solenoid online that supposedly fits my Jeep I find one that WOULD work with the connector I bought! No idea if that means my solenoid has been replaced. I seriously doubt the connector has prior to today.

A propane torch and a very small flat head screwdriver (and some patience) made it work. I basically melted a notch in the shell. I’d love to know the actual correct part number!!!

Update… I knew it couldn’t be this easy! If you look very carefully on the left side of the connector you’ll notice it doesn’t match the right side. On my old one it’s broken away but you can see that there are two slots both left and right to fit on the solenoid… The connector I’ve purchased...

Let’s say you have a 2003 4 liter automatic TJ that in random occasion falls into limp mode. Sometimes it gives a code like P1698; sometimes no code at all. TCM? Maybe... I have a spare on hand now, but I noticed that the connector to my transmission solenoid pressure switch looks like a badger...

Let me guess, you've got an annoying intake whistle at about 1800-2200 rpm? PO put that same intake on our '03, and I'm looking to return to stock as well.

My wife's TJ and yours are twins. "Lucky" is an '03 X- same khaki metallic, similar lift, etc. Here she is on the trails... She also has a K&N cold air intake, but I'm thinking of going back to the stock box as it causes an annoying whistle at about 1800-2200 rpm. Do you experience the same?

The subwoofer and amp in my wife's TJ were toast, so I'm going a different route- Kenwood KSC-SW11 powered compact sub. Welded a bracket and bolted to the floor. Fits in the space and while it won't rattle your teeth out, it'll do fine for us.
