Well....now I'm confused again. I put a 5 qt jug in my shopping cart and went to add a single quart. The HD description says the quart bottle is a blend :rolleyes:. I'm still going with the Pennzoil guy's response...

This is a good suggestion. You can always put film over the Eastwood's, but not vice versa.

Sounds like a good plan. Just one observation I've had with Surface Shield, I found that in the hot summer months, it "melts" and runs out of the drain holes. Could be that I applied too much. And Miami gets warmer than Virginia.

I assume you've replaced those damn plastic nuts with nutserts or something.

That does look pretty darn clean. What are your plans for keeping it that way? Eastwood's? Fluid Film? Both? Edit: Just watched the video.....the sound is "softer" on the section you are hitting at the beginning of the video vs. a more distinctive metal sound at the other end.

The inside shot looks like it is the inside sidewall of the frame. What does the inside bottom of the frame look/feel like? That's where the rot will start. Have you looked inside just below the control arm brackets?

Yep, I've seen that, but I can Penetrol the top and all the flares in far less time than it would take me to just do a proper masking job for painting. But, to each his own.

Way too much trouble to remove them for painting and I'm not patient enough to mask them properly if I tried painting while still on the Jeep. Penetrol for me.

I used Penetrol on a badly faded set of flares. They look fantastic and water just beads up on them. It's only been a couple of weeks, so can't attest to the longevity yet.

Thanks. Labeling and seller website descriptions are very confusing these days. I think the only way to know for sure is to check Pennzoil website.

The last pic is the most worrisome in my opinion. That's the torque box (part of the tub) that has rotted. I'm not knowledgeable on what's involved in repairing that, but others will chime in I'm sure.

Hi folks....getting ready to Penetrol my hardtop. I have the early style top with the corner vents. For those of you who have done this, did you apply Penetrol to the vents, or work around them? I realize they are a different material than the top itself. Thanks.

I know this is a long shot. We had a fatal pedestrian hit and run in our neighborhood just before Christmas. These photos are the only vehicle evidence collected at the scene. If anyone can possibly shed any light on what type of vehicle they are from, I will pass along to our local police...
