It looks like you still need to remove the softop rear window bar brackets from the tailgate. 2 brackets each have Phillips screws holding them down

Do they have parts? I think they have not cleared up their website to account for discontinued items

I'm in need of those exact brackets... Mine were rusty and I had to take them down so much they are pretty thin in places. How do they look for rust?

How about the C170 connection where you used the Dremmel? Could it be loose? I don't have the diagram handy to check if it was part of the defogger

That's awesome That's awesome! I appreciate the thanks and so glad you got it. To test defogger you can use a multimeter on the inside of the back window. Test it with DC 12v from one connection to the other. Lots of videos show how to do it. If you get 12v you are golden. I read in the FSM...

I found a few minor problems in the '04 FSM, notes in my diagram indicating the issues. I remember one of them was a simple numbering problem with one of the connectors...listed something out of order.

Yes looking at my 04 FSM 115 is "off-road package" connector which means its a locker.

Glad you traced it. That is also what I hard to do. That '06 FSM doesn't seem right because that points to a locker switch. Keep me posted on what you learn.

great question. I scratched my head forever on that one too. I think its just plain wrong in their diagram. That is all I could figure out. They should have made the wire look like it was behind using dashed lines or something...or maybe it came with a fuse tap.

Yes that is correct, you can bypass but also know that you can get to that connector by pulling it off the "mount" and maybe even pulling the speaker to get better access.
