    Sway bar and ride quality

After reducing sway bar mounting to frame bolt torque from 70 ft lbs to 45 and greasing the sway bar link bushings both the metal sleeves and rubber inside and out my ride quality seems to have less sharp jarring over bumps. Also cooler temperatures here may play a part. Placebo or real improvement?

    Clunk solved I hope

Had this irritating clunk at low speed over small bumps or dips driving me nuts. Clearly seemed to be a suspension issue on the right side. First addressed sway bar torque setting which needed of some tightening but that failed to solve the problem. Then disconnected the links, and the clunk...

How much improvement will I feel going to RS5000X shocks?

I would like to improve the road manners of my LJ without spending a small fortune. Am running Cooper AT3 XLTs E load range 25 psi and the ride seems harsh. How much improvement might be felt by going to the Ranchos? The tires are new so going to C load range is out of the question.

Haynes Guide is a Poor Purchase

Guide for 1987 thru 2011 is too much information in too few pages. Purchased the guide to learn more about my 2006 LJR and it does help some but seems to cross some of the different instructions with different models by providing unnecessary direction for assembly/disassembly steps to take when...

    Trouble Free Jeeps

Aside from owner modifications and hard trailing causing complications, seems reading this forum, Jeeps are the most troublesome vehicles on the road. Anybody out there with a daily driver that they are having a trouble free experience with.

    #3 misfire code p0303 Help

Reset the cell and is running smooth as silk. Weird the the gas gauge went on the fritz showing about 1/4 full when I knew it was lower. Reset also seemed to cause the gas gauge to return to normal. Should I just continue to drive and see if the CEL comes on again?

    OPDA should have?

Other than having mistimed my OPDA and correcting that, the most difficult part of the change out was the installation of the clamp. When the clamp was positioned, the bolt extended too far through the clamp and hit the base before it could be positioned to over the threaded hole, causing the...

Help OPDA not seating about 1/8th inch off base

Pinned the old OPDA and removed as described in the several videos. Small dia Phillips head screw driver dropped the shaft through all three holes. However the new OPDA refuses to seat and remains about 1/8 inch out despite attempts to wiggle it in. Update: Well couldn't leave bad enough...

    New OPDA identification

Purchased a Crown OPDA that has no evidence of a manufacturer visible on the out side and about 1/16th verticle movement of the shaft. Price was right and the shipping was fast but without any manufacturer ID I am concerned this may not be a Crown unit. Should there be a stamp or identifying...

    Jasper, GA Jeep fest

2019 Jasper Jeep fest this year was the first outing I have attended with my 2006 LJR and the first also for a friend who had never off roaded his unit. We had a fantastic time but were so busy with the wheeling ops we have virtually no pics. Will definitely be returning next year. Seems to me...

    AC vent problem

Lost the control nob and the louver to which it is attached down the RH side vent down into the duct work. Have tried various hooks, two sided tape attached to a wire, and combinations of shop vac tubing attachments, leaf blower blowing in the LH side alone and in sync with the shop vac on the...

Advice on proper track bar torque for Rough Country track bar

Recently replaced OEM trackbar with adjustable style with adjustable collar to bring wheels in alignment with the body. The kit was missing a bolt and had an extra nut that fitted nothing. Also had no torque settings for the brace supplied, the bar ends or the collar clamps. Long story short...
