What brand steering gear is this?

Previous owner upgraded things up front but I don't know what brand it is. It's nice heavy duty stuff. Drag link is 1.25" diameter, but has no provision for connecting stabilizer but I figured that out. Drag link tie rod end looks to be 1" dia male thread. The track bar has an offset style of...

Another source of death wobble not usually considered

DW has a bunch of potential sources, and has been extensively covered prior to this posting. One source I've not seen discussed nearly as much is having axles parallel to one another. This is my experience I just had yesterday. Started getting death wobble at the usual 40'ish mph. I could...

    No fuel again

About 10 months ago I lost fuel to the motor. Installed new Bosch replacement fuel pump, and had to also install a new fuse for the fuel pump. Noticed after I replaced the pump that the fuse was blown Today I lost fuel pressure again - noticed right away the fuse was blown. Inspected wiring...

Drilling out the taper in the swaybar

I'd like to make the holes in my front swaybar from tapered to a straight bore 1/2", but for the life of me can't get a drill to make much of a dent. Is there a different sort of bit I can use in my drill press or do I have to go to get it machined?

    Is this a SKIM thing?

06 LJ rubicon, 135,000 miles, 6 speed. Was driving in town (Galveston) and it died just after leaving a red light. Sputtered a bit, then went dead. Cranks fine but won't fire. I figured symptoms pointed to fuel pump so I replaced that. Trouble is it still cranks but no fuel getting to fuel...

Anyone running the Kenda Kleever in a 35 x 10.5?

Wondering if there is any real life experience with the R/T model of the Kenda Kleever tire, size 35 x 10.5 x 17. It's marketed as a hybrid tread design, not as aggressive as the M/T version, but more aggressive that a hiway tire tread I'm thinking of trying them for my next set (currently...

Control arms: Which ones should be adjustable?

2006 LJ rubicon I'm installing 4" lift springs (actually 4.5") and see I have a choice of front control arms on the market. case 1 - I'm tentatively looking at fixed length lowers (it states they are a length for a 4" lift) and upper adjustable arms for caster correction. I assume the fixed...

Setting bumpstops and figuring other suspension parts

I drive a 2006 LJ Rubicon - the previous owner kludged together a suspension system that has to be replaced. Based on what I've read on this forum it seems to have resulted in a 3" lift. There is also a 1" body lift installed. When I got the unit, I installed Nth Degree rear spring relocators...
