Welcome Keep in mind this site leans towards doing things right. A larger tire may fit, but you would have to increase the amount of bumpstop to maintain clearances. This will reduce the amount of travel and articulation making the Jeep less capable.

Rust on unpainted parts is not a sign of wear. Lots of threads on here for tracking down steering issues.

It says 4.0. You may have clicked on it before I edited it. There are several on ebay that look like that. Not sure if it has to be your specific year. Rockauto shows this part number. Mopar 52127502 YRMV

IMO, it only matters that the bottom is seated flush. You could have pointed the zerk more forward.

Normally yes, but not set in stone. I would try gradual adjustments both up and down from the driveshaft angle.

You may need an angled bracket to compensate for the axle being rotated.

This hook can be used with the window open too, correct? With my current setup, I need to be able to walk under/through the top when it's being stored.
