    Advice on replacing custom exhaust

2004, 4.0. PO did away with the flanges between the single cat and muffler and welded things up. Ideally, I’d like to only replace from the muffler back because the rest is in good shape. Can I cut it there and flare it out to install a flange? Or am I looking at a header back replacement so...

How to install a cabin filter

@Chris for your approval to be added in the TJ How-to Guides sub. I regularly drive in very dusty conditions, and got tired of the lack of cabin air filtration. I tried recirculate mode, but as soon as I'd change it back to fresh I'd get a blast of the dust that had built up. I wanted to use an...

    SOLD Soft Top Windows

OEM black set of 3. They’re pretty hazy and have a few small scratches, but no holes. The rear window zipper has a couple of wonky teeth, but it’s always been able to zip to the top. I visit the Front Range occasionally and could meet up. They will be thrown out in a couple of weeks if no interest.

https://rockies.craigslist.org/cto/d/buena-vista-2006-jeep-wrangler-low/7508259605.html I have no idea if this price is high or low these days, but it looks pretty clean. Only one undercarriage photo but I only see surface rust. I'd offer to check it out for someone, but I'm leaving on a road...

    What's your favorite gasket scraper?

I am considering investing in one for the toolbox that’s engineered for steel surfaces. Do they save time over razor blade scrapers? What has worked best for you?

    Interesting OPDA findings

Full reset instructions here: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/any-benefit-to-resetting-pcm.15762/post-254238 The details of what is stored in adaptive memory is found in the FSM. I do it whenever I change any PCM sensors, but it's for you to decide.

    Interesting OPDA findings

Maybe, but first I'd try a full PCM reset first. If your alignment is in the neighborhood, it will work fine.

    Running rich

Of course, we're not able to smell it like you can, but your description doesn't sound like 'rich'? To me, that means unburned fuel smell. Since you just replaced the exhaust, that is what I'd be focusing on for leaks. If you make a simple smoke machine like used for vacuum leaks, you can shoot...

    Went to 32s

I've considered this move (it would definitely look better), but always talk myself out of it because 32s are: Heavier. Wider (11.5" only). I don't seek out sand/mud so wouldn't benefit. I also already get a lot of mud up the sides as-is even though I have the wider OEM fender. More expensive...

Will a new PCM fix my issues?

Wondering if the ECM mismatch could be a factor. Several sensors changed between 02 & 05. See if you can source an 05.

    Air pressure gauges

Pencil gauges are what I started with in the 80s. I've always found them to give different results depending on how you hold them (horizontally vs vertically), and they're harder to read quickly than a dial gauge. I like my Accu-Gage RH60X, which has a protective rubber shell, a small length of...
