    Yep, same thing with my Dana 35 when I re-geared. Mine had not been previously opened with 100k on it, and the carrier dropped right out and one of the carrier bearings fell off in the process, the other bearing I pulled off by hand. It’s not that uncommon.

    Mine was definitely used, the box had greasy fingerprints on it and had signs of being opened (seal was broken) and the part inside also was greasy with fingerprints all over it. I don’t see how it is possible for the individual in the warehouse to miss something like that.

    I’ve used them a few times, they didn’t have the best price, but did have what I wanted. Sadly, there were problems each time as well (defective parts, used parts).
