My HVAC wasn’t blowing at all. PO said he never had it working. After reading threads on this forum I also replaced the switch panel, blower, resistor and door actuator. The switch panel contacts had melted due to the resistor going out and allowing voltage to pass through to the panel.

Mine has the soft top, I replaced the seized blower motor and the resistor last year and as long as I have it recirculate the air inside the vehicle it will get toasty after about 5-10 minutes. Even in sub 20 degree weather like we just had here in North Texas.

Does anyone in the Dallas area have a recommendation of where I should take my TJ to get worked on from being rear ended? It’s being repaired by the other driver’s insurance so I can go wherever I want. This issue I’m running into is that it’s got body, mechanical, and possibly frame damage...

Dang, I hate to hear that. Glad you made it through that experience alive. Even if it want texting people don’t respect the fact your in a potential missile that could kill someone by their irresponsibility.

No; I don’t believe every accident is a result of it but in this case he admitted on camera that this was the case. After the accident the lady behind him said she had to honk at him at the stop sign to go. He was texting someone he was going to pick up for school.

Thought I had replied; looks like there’s gaps between the frame and body. Judging by my measurement which were done in the cold and in low light conditions it appears that from passenger side tire to frame is 5 3/4” spacing to wheel on driver side it appears from frame to tire is 5.” I can’t be...

Yeah, I’m prepping myself for that...I’m going to fight this thing to get everything I can out of it.

Ha! I did sarcastically offer!!! But it took his momma and daddy about 45 minutes to get there from 5 blocks away; the officers had to ask about 10 times because he didn’t even have his license on him and the officer couldn’t find him in the system with the name and DOB that he gave.
