California HP Dana 30 housing plus ARB, 4.56, Cro-Mo shafts $900

I've got a YJ front Dana 30 with 4.56's, ARB G2 inner and USA standard outer Cro-Mo shafts. This axle is set up for spring over and has the M.O.R.E. high steer kit. Comes with tie rod and Drag link. I was told the whole setup has about 15-20k miles on it. It also comes with an XJ HP 30 housing...

Pros & Cons of Wheel Adapters?

I'm going to stick with 35's and probably an 11.5". What was the backspace of your wheel? Stock Jk take off or aftermarket?

Pros & Cons of Wheel Adapters?

I'm about to be in the same situation axle wise. What width tire and what backspace/adapter with did you go with? Any clearance issues with that setup? I'm trying to stay pretty narrow without creating clearance issues and don't care if I'm a bit wider in the rear.

    Holmes on Homes

Hahaha, the concrete one just came on and I thought the same thing. That's one hell of a concrete blade to leave a finish like that.

Anyone have experience with older Sears Craftsman table saws?

That's a lot of saw for $100. Give the fence a quick tune and you'll be building those boxes/shelves in no time.

Favorite Sawzall blades and cut off wheels?

Got it. Auto body hammers have too wide a face then. Sometimes you need the narrow wrench "hammer" profile to get in to spots.

Favorite Sawzall blades and cut off wheels?

Possibly one of the smaller auto body hammers. I assume this isn't for the Jeep. Or a joke that I'm not getting.

Any woodworking / cabinet making people here?

If you are going the adjustable shelf route I can second the Kreg jig recommendation. Most of their stuff is actually pretty well thought out and reasonably priced.

Any woodworking / cabinet making people here?

Mdf will be easier to fabricate. Even the really good plywood has occasional voids. You would also need to face the front edge of the ply. If you go that route I'll show you how. It's an iron on real wood veneer. If you are going to put a backer on it construction is really pretty easy. Use butt...

    DIY Decals

Some of the bigger models can actually cut balsa wood. You can print a little model plane. I haven't tried it with the wife's Cricut get but I hear it can be done.

Favorite Sawzall blades and cut off wheels?

I think we have a winner. Already ordered from Amazon. I went with Benchmark for the abrasives. Hopefully they don't suck.

Anyone interested in custom machined axle brake line tabs?

I'd be in for a dozen or so based on price.

Favorite Sawzall blades and cut off wheels?

Any body have any great recommendations for either product? They will be used for bracketry removal and various other Jeep projects. I did some research and it's hard to tell what is marketing hype and what actually works. I'd like some opinions from the people actually using them for what I'm...

    Recomendation on beginners welder

Check the Hobart refurbished site. I got a Handler 190 delivered for under $600. Not cheap, but a pretty good rig for the price. I'm a newbie but my pro welder friends have used it and love it. They usually say sold out, but there is a waiting list. I think it took 3 weeks for mine.

    JK axle swap for TJ

That sounds like you are talking about the rear axle. Do they work on the front axle too?

    JK axle swap for TJ

I know this is old, but did you ever get around to getting those JL brakes put on? Do they fit?

Weight concerns with possible L83 or L86 swap

L83 and L86 are both aluminum blocks and heads. If weight is that much of a concern use their V6 little brother the LV3. Still 300 hp and ft/lbs. Swapping any of the new GenV's to manual is even more work. Also, the 6L80 is often preferred from a general reliability standpoint but I think the V8...

What setup are you using? That seems like a pretty solid cooling system.
