    Oil filter size discrepancy

I just did my 2nd oil change and as someone mentioned earlier, yes the whole filter itself may be bigger but the rubber gasket is about the same size. The smaller filters gasket is less than an 1/8" diameter smaller than the larger filter so it doesn't make much of a difference. The larger...

Shocks. The good the bad and the ugly.

Just another vote for the Rancho RS5000X shocks for my "97 Sport. It went from driving like a pregnant water melon ready to roll over to a "relatively" comfortable ride.

Power steering issues during low RPM's

So my wife came home and said the power steering was shot on our 97 TJ Sport 4.0 manual. I didn't see any leaks and checked the fluid level and belt which were fine so I took it for a quick test run. It seems that when the RPM's are low, the power steering is non existent. Rev the RPM's and...

    Oil filter size discrepancy

It screwed on no problem but the seals don't match up. The MO-90 was significantly wider than the old filter i took off. You can see the box size difference. I'm wondering if at some point the housing got crossed threaded and was replaced with the wrong one.

    Oil filter size discrepancy

So i did my first oil change on my new to me '97 4.0 Sport and when i went to change the filter, the recommended filter was to big (see pic). I bought a Mopar MO-090 which i thought was the right one but ended up having to go to NAPA and had to buy their 1348 filter. The NAPA girl agreed that...

Do I really need upgraded axles on my TJ?

To get a sticker for driving on the beach, we MUST have a pressure gauge, tow strap, shovel, jack and jack board. I also have a compressor just in case. The recommended pressure is 12-15 lbs and that works out pretty well.

Do I really need upgraded axles on my TJ?

I kinda agree with keeping the height the way it is. Looks like l'll just install the Rancho 5000x shocks (RS55128 and RS55240 i believe) that have been discussed on here and that will probably "lift" it a little. On an a side note, can i edit the thread title?

Do I really need upgraded axles on my TJ?

So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this TJ Sport ($7500 w/ 82k mi). I had it gone through by a local shop that specializes in Jeeps and he gave it his stamp of approval. He stated he had 4 other customers come through with TJ's and my frame was far and away in the best shape...
