SOLD 2004 TJ Rubicon, automatic, 33s, lifted

Hey guys, This is pretty unexpected but due to an upcoming change in location for me along with a need to regularly commute, I am listing my TJ in hopes that somebody can have a ton of fun with it instead of me using it to go up and down the highway every day. I need something a bit better to...

Has anyone experienced spark knock / pre-detonation?

Hey guys, so when I bought my Jeep it would “ping” under load up hills at lower RPMs. I did a carbon treatment and it basically stopped doing it completely. 187k miles on the odometer, I wasn’t surprised. Recently I’ve noticed that it does it again. It’s not awful but it’s definitely there. I...

    Body lift removal questions

Hey guys, So the 1.5" (yes, I know, weird) body lift the PO put on my TJ is beginning to bulge out at the back and it needs to be replaced or removed. I have a 1" MML but I also have adjustable arms and a CV rear driveshaft for my 4" suspension lift. I am happy with the height of my suspension...

    Power steering noise (pump failure?)

So I’ve been noticing that particularly when it’s hot out my power steering likes to act up a bit. I sucked some of the old fluid out and replaced it with new fluid. It didn’t look too bad visually to begin with though. When it’s warmed up, I hear what sounds like a power steering system that’s...

Should the radiator cap be 18 psi?

Recently I opened my radiator cap to inspect the coolant since I haven't changed it since buying my TJ in February. The coolant looked relatively fresh but the cap wasn't in very good shape. The lower seal on the spring piece was deteriorating. So I ordered a Mopar cap that says 18lbs on it from...

Where to buy rubber vacuum elbows?

I was digging around under the hood and noticed the little rubber elbows on the side of my intake manifold are in rough shape. Any pointers on where to find some? It looks like there’s a few different sizes so I was thinking a variety pack might be ideal. Please advise if you have any...

    Has anybody experienced notchy steering?

Took the Jeep out for a drive today and all was normal. After a little while I noticed the steering felt notchy while making turns and didn’t go away. I feel it through the steering wheel. My guess is that it’s something in the column due to how I’m feeling it through the steering wheel...

    Caster adjustments

Do you all recommend control arm adjustments or caster cam bolts to get my caster where I want it? I’m right around 4 degrees and would like to increase that quite a bit. I don’t have death wobble but my steering is way too twitchy at higher speeds. if you recommend control arm adjustments...

Can polyurethane spring isolators ride against the spring?

Is it a bad idea to have a polyurethane front spring isolator as the only isolator up there? I’m not sure if having the spring ride against polyurethane rather than rubber is a bad idea. Anybody with experience doing this? Only asking because I’m figuring out my options to try and attain a...

    Considering selling my Moab wheels

So I’ve been tossing around the idea as I’d ultimately like to run C range tires. I really do like the OEM look of the Moabs though so I’m not 100% yet. What I’m wondering is how much of a demand there is for the Moabs and how much I could expect to ask for them. Mine have 4 285/75 Hankook AT...

Does load range C exist in a 16” size?

All I can find are load range E in 16s and I think I saw maybe 1 D. Are there really no options? Do those of you running stock Moabs just deal with E’s? I’m also curious what the general consensus is with wheel spacers around here because as much as I love my wheels they need less backspacing!

    New member from Atlanta

Hi guys, my name is John and I live in Atlanta. Just picked up my first Jeep a few weeks ago, a 2004 Rubicon. I am a Land Rover technician by trade, and I am excited to begin building this Jeep that is mostly stock and I bought from the original owner. The ease of working on this compared to...
