Can You Identify This Sway Bar Link?

Hey folks. I've got a bad sway bar link that I need to replace, but I can't for the life of me find a matching replacement. I've only seen one like it, in a Rancho lift kit (which I'm pretty sure is the lift kit on my TJ), but I can't find them sold separately. Any ideas? Thanks!

Lol, for real. Some day! Ok, maybe a dumb question for some, but what exactly does "lifters bleeding down" mean? I've seen that mentioned a few times but I honestly have no idea what that actually means, lol. What would I look for to see if that is happening in my TJ? Thanks in advance!

Dang! All that and STILL got the noise? Sorry! I checked the clearance of my bearings too and just like yours, they were all fine. Piston slap is really starting to be my main suspicion. It's super hard to diagnose. Have you checked your exhaust manifold for cracks by chance? I'm still...

It is crazy to me how many people have this same noise! And so far, no one has really been able to lock it down to one single issue, lol. But the one thing I DO seem to hear a lot, is that they have had this noise forever and the engine just keeps on ticking! ;) Lifters, bearings, flex plate...

Oh dang.... I'm really sorry to hear this. You put in a TON of work! Seriously, thanks so much for sharing all this with us. Even if it didn't solve your problem, it will help someone else down the line. I know I personally learned a ton reading back through your posts, thanks for that.

Hey! Welcome to the group! Glad you found us. What engine have you got? 40PSI is just fine for the 4.0 engines. The rule of thumb is 10PSI per 1000RPMs. How low is it going?

Hmm. Haven't seen that stuff mentioned yet. Keep us posted if things get better over the next little while, hopefully that clears it up for you! Good luck with the timing chain, whenever you get around to it. It was definitely a job, but being that I'm not all that educated in mechanics, it...

Yeah, mine was definitely as loose as this one. And, as you said, didn't fix the noise. But, I definitely learned a lot changing it! ;)

Someone did say to check the thrust bearings while I had the pan down, but I didn't notice and play at all, front to back, in the crank shaft. But, I didn't realize that I would need to check it with a pry bar to see if it actually had any play or not, you just can't do it by hand. I think this...

Oh dang!! I'm really sorry to hear that man! Wow, bad bearings AND a broken skirt. Yikes! How did the crankshaft look with the worn bearings? Any scoring? Good luck!

Mine is auto, and I also checked the torque-converter bolts, nice and tight. I even removed them, put lock-tire on them, reinstalled them, and then spray-painted the tops of the bolts blue to see if they were contacting anything as they rotated (paint would scratch off). All were clear, and now...

Hey, sorry I didn't see this earlier. Honestly, the zinc didn't make any difference for me. I tried a bottle of additive, and then I tried using diesel oil with a higher zinc content, no change. I didn't expect much though, because the zinc is more of a protection than a solution. I think if a...

Nice!! Welcome aboard man! This is one awesome group of Jeep-lovers here who have helped me out a ton. Hopefully we can all figure out together, once and for all, what this darn sound is. There are quite a few 4.0s experiencing the same racket, so if we can help people out, that would be great...

Lol! Right?? If you do end up dropping the pan, let us know how it goes. I didn't find anything out of the ordinary when I was under mine. I ended up changing the chain as well because it looked pretty stretched out, but it didn't get rid of the noise, sadly. What engine do you have in your...
