Figuring it out, a Jeep build

Well, she is all put together again. Will get more pictures on flat ground to see how bad rake is after installing .75 spacers but I like it. Will eventually go for more aggressive tires because I like the look and back down to 15” wheels, but hey I’m proud of myself. Test drives are tomorrow...

Figuring it out, a Jeep build

Don’t think it helps I’m on a slight decline, however there was definite rake. I just finished installing with the .75 spacer. I’m good with it now. About to post an update but will get a level picture later just to verify. I have no real flat spots at my house unfortunately

Figuring it out, a Jeep build

Thanks! With the exception of welding I did everything myself so I figured it was a suitable name. That’s my favorite part of it all, learning as I go so I know what to do in the future. The only other thing I won’t do is the alignment only because I haven’t gotten that level of trust with...

Figuring it out, a Jeep build

I have read that it might, I’m waiting a bit to put the BL on though. I know when I do it I’m gonna want bigger tires so I’ll do myself a favor and wait until I’m ready to be patient and spend again. This has been down for a few weeks now so I’m just ready to drive it lol

Figuring it out, a Jeep build

Another quick update, I removed and cleaned up what was left of the broken jounces on the front. New jounce tubes are almost finished fabrication and should be getting welded on Monday. So dang close!!

Figuring it out, a Jeep build

Quick update, I found someone who is confident they Can fabricate the new jounce tube for me so now I am waiting for them to have an opening to do the work. I got impatient and installed the front just to see what lift height will be looking like without the body lift and this is what I got I...

Is Rancho having a problem with Rancho RS5000 shocks?

I just placed an order through them today, really hoping for no delays

    Bump Stop Cup Replacement

I will not go as far as to say it was unexpected, just more so hoped it didn't happen like I kind of expected it to. Since I was installing a new lift myself I have looked over different things and tapped on some parts with a hammer to make sure there are no more problems.

Upgrading tires, do I need to upgrade suspension now?

I have been running 31's on my Jeep for about 2-3 years now with no problems/suspension upgrades. I just installed a 2" OME lift and now I am looking to upgrade to 32's or 33's. 31's in my experience are fine both with and without a lift, just depends on if you off-road or not.

    Bump Stop Cup Replacement

I suggest being very very careful with the tube. I thought mine just had a little surface rust and when I went to loosed the bolt on the cup it twisted the tube off. Now I have a much larger problem.

OME 2933/2942 install: Which side do the taller ones go on?

Just finished doing my lift as well, I unbolted the lower control arms from the frame and it gave me the room I needed for springs to come right out. Just ordered myself some .75" spacers for the front because mine looks pretty darn close to yours lol.

Is Rancho having a problem with Rancho RS5000 shocks?

If you are having a tough time try Summit Racing. They appear to have them in stock and my recent experience with them has been awesome. I bought the RS55239/RS55241 combo from them on May 26th and got them like 3-4 days later. I actually cancelled my order through 4WP for this issue. I think it...

Looking to do some upgrades to the TJ

Hey guys, quick question for you. What is the benefit of the rear track bar relocation bracket? I installed everything and put in the new RC rear track bar without it, still not driving it yet due to front jounce issues, but before I make it road ready I want to see if I need it or not.

    Need Help Fixing Broken Jounce

So that is what both front sides looked like. I cant seem to find anything to compare it to what stock looks like, but I was under the impression they were stock. Does the full bucket need to be replaced or can I just find 2 new tubes and have them welded in?

    Need Help Fixing Broken Jounce

Or do you think it possible to leave the bucket and just replace the tubes? Not sure if they sell them separately anywhere or if they need to be fabricated.

    Need Help Fixing Broken Jounce

So I was thinking about these Artec Buckets but don't know very much about them. It appears they are a complete assembly with all I need.
